Once Again, Dems Upset Trump Gives Order Similar to One Given by Obama

When a Republican controlled House tried to investigate the disaster known as Operation Fast and Furious, House committee members subpoenaed thousands of documents and pieces of correspondence from Obama officials, including the Attorney General Eric Holder.

To protect Holder, himself and other Democratic officials, Obama ordered Holder and others to defy the subpoena and withhold the documents.

Obama even went a step further and wielded his executive privilege to block Republicans in their investigation.

Now President Donald Trump has issued a similar order to Hope Hicks and Annie Donaldson to defy House Democrats and not turn over requested documents to them and the Democrats are not happy.

The Hill – White House tells Hicks, Donaldson not to turn over certain documents to House Judiciary – The White House has instructed former officials Hope Hicks and Annie Donaldson not to turn over documents to the House Judiciary Committee that relate to their work in the administration.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) had subpoenaed the two on May 21, setting a deadline of 10 a.m. on June 4 for them to produce documents and demanding they provide testimony — Hicks in a public appearance on June 19 and Donaldson in a closed-door deposition June 24.

CNN first reported the White House had instructed them not to turn over documents stemming from their time in the Trump administration sought by the subpoena. A committee source confirmed the development to The Hill.

Nadler said later in a statement that the move was evidence of President Trump’s “continued obstruction” of congressional investigations…

If there is one thing that Democrats cannot tolerate is for Republicans to play by the same rules that they play by.

Obama violated the Constitution and federal laws and Democrats didn’t blink an eye, but when there is the slightest RUMOR that Trump may have violated anything, the same Democrats are ready to lynch him from the nearest tree.

Obama used emergency declarations a dozen times to fund his pet projects and that was okay, but when Trump does it for just one project, they claim it’s unconstitutional.

Obama and many of his cronies lied through their teeth, but Democrats sift everything Trump says and writes to find the slightest shred of exaggeration.

This just further illustrates what I've been saying for years; It doesn't matter which party is in power at any given time......because they act in exactly the same way that they complain the minor party acts.............when THEY become the minority party. Same channel, different day.

Our artificially created two party system of governance is an abject failure, the two parties manipulate the system to ensure that ONLY those two parties ever gain power. This ridiculous system is only barely Constitutional on paper, but in practice, is as un-Constitutional as anything one could imagine................but we have been bred and conditioned to believe that there is no alternative.

Nothing much will ever change for the better, PERMANENTLY, until we find the gumption to oust the DNC and GOP and return power to the people, for whom they stopped working for 150 years ago.

But with Obama there hadn't been a investigation by a special counsel for over two years and reached no conclusion of guilt of President Trump. Just subpoenas were issued and the Obama administration declined to respect those subpoenas. Two different scenario's, one with only Congressional investigation by Republican committee's and then a two year investigation by Mueller, on Trump, with no proof of any wrong doing, just an accusation. After two years you would have thought, with all of the resources obtained by Mueller, there would have been some kind of concrete evidence. But none shown!!
