The deep State myth is a convenient explanation for anything that doesn't conform to someone's preconceived notions about events. Allegedly, the FBI and Obama knew that Trump would become President, as far back as 2015, and began laying plans to ruin his Presidency. My question has always been...................if they knew beforehand what was going to happen, why didn't they take steps to PREVENT such an occurrence?
The deep state myth only works.......................of one doesn't think about it too long, or look too closely.

You misunderstand. I believe that our bureaucracy is out of control and has been for years, with our elected folk having very little influence over them. Where the fantasy rises, is in believing that Obama somehow manipulated the bureaucracy for his own benefit. The t***h is, Obama was as much a victim of the deep state as any other President.

Possibly. But I have to say that I objected vehemently to many of the programs of the Obama administration. I also disliked intensely the direction our country took during those years.
