Why Impeachment is a "Suicide Mission" for the Democratic party.
Two years now and some still believe there was Russian collusion!
Gullibility personified!

Manafort was working with Russians, selling influence and other illegal projects
Flynn was telling Russians sanctions would be lifted as soon as Trump was in office
Kushner got caught pushing a back channel for hiding communications, no legitimate reason for that
Trump junior openly accepted information from Russians
Trump/Mnuchin lifted key financial sanctions on specific oligarchs
Trump denied working on a Trump tower Moscow beyond where it was appropriate
Trump lifted requirements that would have forced Exxon to disclose payments to Russia the first month in office

Start differentiating between impeachment inquiry and full impeachment, big big difference

The only thing that they believe in is their own h**e, it's all that they have, and all that they need.

You are t***sferring the h**e the right had and still has for Obama.
Wanting Trump gone has nothing to do with h**e, there are reasons

The survey did "differentiate" between full impeachment and further impeachment inquiry.
65% of respondents oppose impeachment proceedings.
58%of respondents said it’s time to turn the page on the Russia investigations.
The sole mechanism for dealing with a wayward President in this instance simply won’t work. A sitting President cannot be indicted. He can only be impeached and removed from office via conviction in the Senate.
Although we know that the House has the numbers to impeach Trump, we also know that the Senate Republicans won’t v**e to convict him and therefore remove him from office. The process will therefore be considered partisan and would fail, which only gives Trump something to work with. Simply put, President Trump has a 'get-out-of-jail-free' card with the current make-up of the US Senate.
If the House moved to impeach, all you’d hear about would be “Angry Democrats attempting a c**p against my lawful administration!”, and when the Senate failed to convict him, Trump would consider himself exonerated on all counts, and use that as a platform to say how badly wronged he has been.
The democrats can see how this might backfire - and with the 2020 e******ns coming up, there’s too much at stake for that. That being so…the 2020 e******ns are going to end up being how the American public deals with the issue.
Congress, at least for the moment, doesn’t have the bipartisan co-operation needed to fix it themselves.

Too bad, we're going to be having impeachment inquiry because it seems like it's the only way to get Trump to stop refusing to turn over documents and witnesses to congress...
something by the way that is obstruction by Trump and the DOJ.

Actually we do not know that the senate will not impeach, a long set of hearings covering what Trump did prior to filing articles of impeachment can dramatically turn public opinion...call it 6 or 8 months of continual new revelations. So then it gets turned to the senate, where they cannot just k**l it like McConnell thinks as Roberts will be presiding over a more court like proceeding where Trump's guilt is established, going into the e******n you don't think the senate will cave to public opinion and an e******n coming up? I do. I think Trump gets thrown under the bus and if he doesn't the fact that he should have been impeached is so fresh on v**er's minds it becomes what the e******n is about. Trump has his base, and he is not going to expand that if the public favored impeachment, nor will the GOP survive the senate control race.
There's no downside for opening an impeachment inquiry, it's about displaying the facts to the public that do not know them now.

I can envision what you write here as entirely possible. But, only time will tell.

By all means, go ahead and roll the dice. After all you don't need the Independent V**e,
you already have the C*******ts, Socialists, Convicted Felons and La Raza in your camp.
This new poll, which was conducted after special counsel Robert Mueller's statement on Wednesday, has several other warning signs for Democrats agitating to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump.
Sixty-eight percent of v**ers said Democrats in Congress should accept Mueller's finding that there was no criminal conspiracy and 65 percent said Democrats should accept Attorney General William Barr's conclusion that the president did not obstruct justice.

Thanks for those statistics, Gatsby. Woodie has a terminal case of TDS and is bound and determined to get in his digs against Trump any way he can. Trying to talk reason to someone as unhinged as woodglue is the equivalent of giving medicine to the dead.
Even Nancy Pelosi knows that impeachment will be bad for her party. Just like when Clinton was justifiably impeached, the net result was that the Democrats bounced back and gained lots more seats. Nancy sees the writing on the wall. She's trying to hold her party together but lots of the more progressive wing aren't having it. Nancy knows that the Republican majority in the senate will never v**e to impeach so why even go there. And the senate v**e has to be way more than a simple majority.

Dear Demented Speaker Nancy has far bigger problems at home.
Pelosi knows her party, and she knows that she lacks the v**es to pass articles of impeachment.
Any attempt at impeachment will split her Demented party, and that will cost her "her house".
