Years ago, Hollywood Squares was a T.V. program that could be characterized as an elephant dying ground for washed up actors, singers, and T.V. personalities. By the time fading celebrities like Charo, Joan Rivers, and Roddy McDowell were making regular appearances in the Squares lineup, it was clear that their career was at an end.

Today there is another place that washed up celebrities go once they realize that their career is in the tank. They become celebrity spokesmen for the Republican National Committee. Five years ago we would have seen Jon Voight’s face in the number one square on ABC’s daily game show, but since that show is off the air, he has found another place to disappear. He has become another one of those angry guy Republican spokesmen that make regular “celebrity” appearances at places like Fox T.V. and Republican policy committee meetings. It is easy to understand why Voight is looking for a following there. His last film, An American Carol, earned a half star on every critics’ five star scale. In fact, it was described as “jaw-droppingly awful” by one critic who probably didn’t remember that Voight did star in an outstanding movie forty years ago called Midnight Cowboy. He played the role of a male prostitute.

Maybe he thinks that Progressives are the scum of the earth. Maybe he thinks anyone who supports human trafficking by open borders confirms the former. Voight is 80 years old. Maybe he's not real interested in doing any more movies. maybe he is more into fishing. Just got through watching a movie that took a hard slant on human smuggling some of those issues dealing with the border. After watching this nobody in their right mind would take a stand on open borders.....unless they were out of their freaking minds. If washed up his excuse for what is without a doubt backing the "good guy" so be it. After watching stuff like this, your lying, hypocritical attitude is enough to make me puke.

Who cares? You ever hear of a thing called 'freedom of speech'? You guys are always so selective as to who's allowed to speak in this country....especially if the talk is not 100% up your alley. Washed up or not. he makes more sense than you EVER have. You make it sound like because 80 years old (most people are retired at that age, doofus) you don't think he's entitled to an opinion, doofus again. Dumbest argument I've heard in 6 years. Go back to your garden....or cave.

Everything you say here can applied to you also. My opinion is exercising my right to freedom of speech too
and no one is saying Voight does not have a right to speak his mind, we are just ridiculing his opinion which is our right...right? What I posted is a quote found online which I duly labelled as a (quote). Seemed like an effective rebuttal to his statement about Trump and Lincoln which I still think is ludicrous and not shared by
the majority...but that is my opinion...that I am entitled to...right?

Frankly I don't know of anybody who supports "open borders". What does that mean apart from the hysterical Rights attempt to make it a tag with a sticky back they can hang on anybody who does not support Trump. Some of us actually support the idea of secure borders but with a more humane way of dealing with asylum seeking families and the DCA kids. Puke away then wipe your chin junior because you cannot prove I'm either lying or a hypocrite.
