Dear Donald,
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) -- who once sponsored a Cap and Tax scheme with radical liberal Senators John Kerry (D-MA) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT) -- recently told reporters:
“We owe it to the country to have an alternative to the Green New Deal. Let’s just cross the Rubicon. Let’s, as a party, say . . . c*****e c****e is real.”
Graham was speaking at a banquet with Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (RI) who said, “As soon as the logjam breaks, you’re going to have . . . very significant climate action.”
Already we’re seeing that happen.
Bloomberg reports that Senate Republicans are expected to introduce several major so-called “climate bills” in the coming weeks.
Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) told the outlet:
“What we’re doing is trying to come up with something that actually has a path to getting bipartisan support. We’re serious about trying to make a difference and not just making a point.”
That’s why it’s vital you sign your “Stop Cap and Tax” petition to your U.S. Representative and Senators, demanding they oppose this dangerous power grab.
You see, if passed, Cap and Tax would give the federal government UNPRECEDENTED control over the private sector -- and our very lives.
Big Government bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. would effectively be able to tax businesses for emitting more carbon dioxide than they think is “appropriate.”
Just as bad, they’ll be able to demand you change your way of living -- forcing you to “retrofit” your house with “government-approved” dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, toilets, air conditioners, and wh**ever else they can dream up.
And don’t think for a second they won’t send around federal jackboots to make sure you’re complying.
Just imagine, one day, you hear a loud knock on your front door.
But it’s not a neighbor visiting or someone trying to sell you a subscription.
Instead, it’s a federal agent -- the federal government’s newest threat to your liberty -- coming to check your household appliances . . . your thermostat . . . your refrigerator contents . . . and this is NO JOKE.
Believe me, I wish it were.
But should Cap and Tax pass, what I just described could be EXACTLY what you and I see in home after home, town after town all across our country -- along with skyrocketing home electric and heating prices.
In fact, one past Cap and Tax Bill SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZED just such intrusive home visits by government snoops.
Picture it as an over-aggressive Home Owners Association -- but with guns and the power to throw you in prison.
. . . All of this is to allegedly curb greenhouse gas emissions and prevent an “environmental catastrophe.”
The worst news of all is that many members of BOTH parties are falling all over themselves to support this radical scheme -- believing it’s “not as bad” as U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal.”
That’s why I’m counting on your action today.
