Drunken wife beating is sadly commonplace amongst right wingers in the south. As we can see from the recent forced motherhood laws in Georgia and Alabama women are considered property not people. This will be brushed off as a “boys will be boys” incident. The one thing that might jam him up is the death threat he made on the dog. Down south in conservative families dogs are held in higher esteem than women, breaking his wife’s nose may go unpunished but a Georgia jury might hang him for threatening the hound.
