Following the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:
https://taxfoundation.org/state-tax-conformity-revenue-effects/
Most states are showing a significant increase in tax revenues.
Including the District of Columbia. Increase in revenue of $51.9 million in the fiscal year 2019.

The states did not do the corporate giveaway the feds did. Trumps gift to the uber wealthy gave taxpayers a trillion dollar deficit this year.

You just don't get it, the states are benefiting from the fed tax cuts.

No thank you on that bridge crossing anything higher than three feet off of the floor I don't do.

I have friends in the iron workers union, they are high walkers that think nothing of walking across a beam 27 stories high. They have some interesting job stories.

Me and heights, nope, 10 feet is too high, I be hugging beam as the high walkers call it when someone freaks out. They drop and you can't pry their arms off the beam.

I did residential roofing for almost 20 years and was terrified every day but never “hugged beam” as you say.
Fear is healthy, being afraid is unacceptable.

Live most of the year palm trees and beaches,
to drive over the bridge slowly and take in the sights would be great.

Wow, 1,854 feet high. During my skydiving career I jumped from lower altitudes than that. I'd jump off that bridge in a New York minute. I'd have to scout out the bottom of that gorge, see if there is a suitable area to land. I'll bet there are some BASE jumpers who are eyeballing the possibilities. However, the Chinese government will likely prohibit such a thing.

Pretty spectacular suicide possibilities, lot of time to rethink it and wish you hadn't...
