This is a gruesome sight. Those with sensitivity issues should, probably, not look at this, for it's disturbing. I'm posting this in case someone may live near and know what this S.O.B. has done to not only this poor dog but others as well. Apparently, this bastard hasn't been held accountable for his actions.

There may be extenuating circumstances that allow him to get away with what he's done.

Dog fights? Sick people. This made my stomach turnover. Inhumane! Inhuman!!
Also, illegal! Lock them up. It takes more than one dog owner.

It is hard to believe that the police, the humane society, or other animal rights groups would not get involved. Would like to see more backup to make sure someone is not s**mming this guy.

"extenuating circumstances" Would extenuating circumstances have the dirty SOB take a photo of the poor dog and place them on the internet? This monster needs to be found and given a few years in prison to teach him how low he is. If that don't work off his ass as he is one sorry piece of crap.

Leave the "humane" society and crazy animal rights groups out of it. They have no place in matters like this.

This is a police matter. If he has been shooting people's dogs then he needs to be prosecuted. I agree this needs investigating. A post on facebook isn't evidence nor are comments saying "I heard....".

I can't imagine what extenuating circumstances could possibly justify this. The only circumstances I can think of for this murdering S.O.B. is to nail his dick to a dead tree, set the tree on fire and give him a butter knife.

Unfortunate as this is, there is no description of the location where the dog was shot or the circumstances of the event. Was he on someone's property and chasing livestock? Was he in another person's yard and doing what dogs do, like pulling over garbage cans, trying to impregnate their b***h, fighting with another dog or animal? Chasing their cat?
My step-father grew up on a sheep and dairy ranch in northwestern Montana. He and his father and several other ranchers knew which river bed the town's dogs like to run up in packs. They'd attack the baby sheep and cattle. So they advertised on such and such date they'd be shooting all dogs running loose on their property. They shot over 20 dogs that day and some more in the weeks following and hung the carcasses on the fence posts along the road so people could see them. Pure breds, mutts, large and small.
Keep your dogs either in your homes or fenced in. My whole life I've had dogs and none have ever been allowed to run free or bother my neighbors. Right now, we have an energetic Aussie. We're in the country and she's allowed to run on our property, but she knows where the boundaries are.

Nor have mine. They’re well loved members of the family, but that dog looked like it had been torn up in a dog fight and dog fighting is against the law. I may be totally off base. I’m sure someone will inform me.

I do not shoot or k**l anything unless extreme emergency, but I do know that dogs can be very destructive when they start going after livestock. Coyotes get a lot of credit for damage caused by dogs. Having said that, I would have no problem for someone suffering death for cruelty to dogs, or any animal.

That photo is from May '17. It kind of looked that way to me as well. I feel sorry for the boy. It's a hard way to get an education on life.

I've seen dogs that have been ripped up in fights and dogs that have been shot. This looks like its been shot. No question in my mind.

this is a sad world Rose
when some lowlife shoots his neighbors pet
if the dog was misbehaving there are sources he could take to stop it
just shooting the defenseless animal is just plain meanness

I agree. Its a hard lesson for that family. Everyone has to keep their dogs under control. Not just for the safety of others but for the safety of their dogs from people like that.

That is insane. Why shoot a dog? Someone’s pet?

A dog can be a fantastic family pet but still k**l livestock. I don’t know what happened here but if a dog has a history of k*****g livestock - someone’s livelihood - then its not wrong to shoot it. The fault would not be on the shooter but the one who lets their dog run loose and be destructive.
