Qualifying the press, are we at the end now.

Controlling what part, if any, of the press has access to the white house press days has been an orange dream from the day before inaugaration..

Following in the steps of Putin, Kim, Hitler and many other useless little repressers, now the orange con man has acheived the goal he has long lusted after..

Now who will be telling the world what dumb thing has crossed his mind this day?

Only twitter will be called anything other then his label of "f**e news".

Unless the news is an echo of the orange liar, then the may get access to the open mouth. At least for a time.

This alone should drive this POS from defacing the office of our presidency....

Trump White House revokes press access; will grant 'exemptions' as it sees fit

This is obviously ridiculous. There is only the barest attempt by Trump's team of ever-quivering sycophantic hacks to pretend there’s a non-crooked rationale for the move; a new "standard" that not even the top reporters in the country could meet would have been tossed out as implausible and unworkable by any non-crooked group in a non-crooked White House. It took someone of the caliber of Sarah Huckabee Sanders to consider it and, with glazed eyes, put a stamp on it.

Having the ruling government select the qualifications to be used to determine which members of the press are "allowed" to offer up questions, rather than having members of the press set those qualifications themselves (if needed), is t***sparently not maintaining a "free press." It is a creating a government-curated one. It is malignant. It is the cowardice of authoritarianism, and the propagandist's final c***t.

So, naturally, it was only a matter of time before this pathetic failure of a man came to demand it, and his simpering Republican staff dutifully delivered. Perhaps it will at least motivate the press to consider that perhaps this administration is not merely another team of partisans that can be shoehorned and both-sided into the same unchanging templates they have sorted political spats into for the last 50 years. After all, it is the press.

Tent cities for detained refugee children could not break through, nor the steady repetition of extremist white nationalist bullet points as a new White House normal, nor the demonization of Muslims as a group, nor the now-documented campaign by the White House to scuttle investigations into e******n tampering, nor the elevation of a leader who lies to the public regularly, incessantly, repeatedly in a continuing effort to deceive it—but maybe this will. Or maybe it will not.

Constitutional amendment with an executive order, this man is ignorant of the way our government works or just dont care. My guess it's a combination of both,

Where does it say the press has a right to access to the White House? Perhaps if they conducted themselves properly standards would not be necessary. Your ranting proves why standards are necessary. Too many in the MSM think and act like you.

First of all, thank you.. nice to think I can be included in such a talented and dedicated group..

But I would like to point out that the absence of standards in with the strange insecure angry child man who thinks that he can limit the freedom of the press and therefore of the nation only because the t***h hurts his feelings.

Like the spoiled child he remains, he demands his way or no way at all.

If you do not let hem do as he pleases, go away.. you can not come in..

right to access to the white house is as old as our concept of what freedom of speech should be, the colloquium of freedom of the press. You can not have one without the other..

How'd we ever have a President before TV? Pressers don't need to be a daily event. Presidents have used Executive Privilege in the past. If I was Trump it'd be once or twice a month. The incest like relationship between the press and Democrats is the most dangerous occurence to ever hit the Republic.
