Why do Democrats have so little knowledge about the Constitution, federalism, separation of powers and duties, and refuse to learn about it? Probably because so many Colleges have quit making the study of American History, Government, and the Constitution a required course.

Watch: House Judiciary Committee V**es To Hold William Barr In Contempt Of Congress

The move came after President Donald Trump asserted executive privilege over the report moments before the House Judiciary met on Wednesday to discuss whether to hold Barr in contempt. In a statement, the White House said:

The American people see through Chairman Nadler’s desperate ploy to distract from the President’s historically successful agenda and our booming economy. Neither the White House nor Attorney General Barr will comply with Chairman Nadler’s unlawful and reckless demands.

The Attorney General has been t***sparent and accommodating throughout this process, including by releasing the no-collusion, no-conspiracy, no-obstruction Mueller Report to the public and offering to testify before the Committee.

These attempts to work with the Committee have been flatly rejected. They didn’t like the results of the report, and now they want a redo.

Faced with Chairman Nadler’s blatant abuse of power, and at the Attorney General’s request, the President has no other option than to make a protective assertion of executive privilege.

It is sad that Chairman Nadler is only interested in pandering to the press and pleasing his radical left constituency.

The American people deserve a Congress that is focused on solving real problems like the crisis at the border, high prescription drug prices, our country’s crumbling infrastructure, and so much more.

"The Department's decision reflects President Trump's blanket defiance of Congress's constitutionally mandated duties," Nadler said in a statement. "In the coming days, I expect that Congress will have no choice but to confront the behavior of this lawless Administration. The Committee will also take a hard look at the officials who are enabling this cover-up."

In 2012, Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, became the first sitting member of a president's cabinet in U.S. history to be held in contempt of Congress after he refused to turn over documents related to the Obama administration's "Operation Fast and Furious," which gave military-style weapons to Mexican drug cartels which were then used to k**l U.S. federal agents.

Democrats don't give a rats ass about Mueller's report, what they are after is

that million plus pages of underlying documents, the back door to Trumps tax returns and more.

Our Constitution consists of 7 Articles, the Legislative Branch is just one of them. The Legislative Branch does not have plenary power over any other branch of our government. Congress cannot indict anyone for criminal conduct nor can Congress prosecute criminal conduct, that is entirely within the jurisdiction of the DOJ. Congress has only a political option, not a judicial one.

The lib progs in congress screaming accusations at AG Barr for contempt and demanding his confinement, even in chains, is undoubtedly a total disregard for our constitution and rule of law. In demanding that Barr submit an unredacted copy of Mueller's report, they are demanding that he violate federal law.

They've put AG Barr between a rock and a hard place - he's either in contempt of Congress, or he should break the law. How can he possibly get out of this one? How could anybody?

Can we say "nothingburger"? Trump's executive privilege took care of what the Dems are calling "underlying documents" in Mueller's report. So now what?
I guess I can answer my own question. Nothing. Our money (taxpayers) have been thrown in the garbage of Democratic politics. What a mess.

Everything's a mess in the House yet everything's perfect in the public sector according to MSM. Trump just keeps on fixing things while the Dems try to persecute him. I said early on that Trump uses Social media to talk to Americans. And they listen to him. I have his twitter page open 24/7. He talks to us and lets us know what he's doing....without tipping his hand (which is what he does - watch Apprentice)

Attorney General Bill Barr has appointed a U.S. attorney to investigate the origins of the Russia investigation and to determine if the FBI's surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016 was legal.

The Associated Press reported that a source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that Barr "appointed John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to conduct the inquiry."

"The inquiry will focus on whether the government’s methods to collect intelligence relating to the Trump campaign were lawful and appropriate," The AP added. "Durham has previously investigated law enforcement corruption, the destruction of CIA videotapes and the Boston FBI office’s relationship with mobsters."

In April, a Trump administration official told Fox News that Barr had assembled a team to investigate the origins of the Obama administration's FBI counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign.

"I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted during the summer of 2016," Barr said during a congressional hearing in April.

Fox News reported on Monday that multiple sources had told the network that "Barr was 'serious' and had assigned DOJ personnel to the probe. Durham is known as a 'hard-charging, bulldog' prosecutor, Fox News is told."

"Sources familiar with matter say the focus includes pre-t***sition period -- prior to Nov. 7, 2016 -- including the use and initiation of informants, as well as potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses," Fox News added. "An informant working for U.S. intelligence posed as a Cambridge University research assistant in September 2016 to try to probe George Papadopoulos, then a Trump foreign policy adviser, on the campaign's possible ties to Russia, it emerged earlier this month. And, Papadopoulos told Fox News, the informant tried to 'seduce' him as part of the 'bizarre' episode."
