The below is an opinion/viewpoint posted on the internet. As it concerns our president, I know it flies in the face of many good people I have come to know and respect on OPP. Yet, I admit to agreeing with much, if not most, of what the writer has to say. I also accept that those same good people will question this evaluation of the man just as I often question theirs. C'est la vie. "I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, (or) in philosophy as cause for withdrawing from a friend." --- Thomas Jefferson
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

When it comes to the divisiveness of today's politics, I am beginning to think that the Russians that spent so much money and effort to swing the election to put this fox ( aka Trump) in the hen-house…must have spent a goodly amount of money on a roomful of social psychologists also.

They want Trump to call American laws that have stood for 250 years…unlawful…. and he has brought that idea into question many times.

They know he is un-educated, so he will know nothing of American or global history, laws or processes. As a classic, classless blowhard, he will loudly deride what he does not understand. He has done just that with every legitimate American institution that we have trusted since 1776.

They expect Trump to create divisiveness in the people by using politics as a wedge. Again, Trump plays right into their efforts by telling lies to a certain sector of the American populace who can identify with his lies and in turn becomes a cult following. Those that remember the Jones cult in Guyana will identify with what Trump is doing. His lies are so believable to these poor people, there is no other truth but Trump.
They know Trump can talk a line of BS and outright lies that sounds so very convincing. They know he has spent a lifetime conning everyone possible in business and life. No one will know what to expect him to start blabbering on or lying about next which will sow never-ending chaos. So it has come to pass.

That he is so self-serving and greed-driven this will conflict with what we expect of a fair president and that this will cause very questionable behavior on his and his major republican supporter's part.

They know that a segment of the Republican Party, driven by the same greed as Trump's, will join him, defend him and push him further with whispers in his ear. They will use him as a malleable chump to destruct parts of our laws and land so they can put their fingers in the biggest jackpot ever offered to them, the taxpayers of America.

They could not have chosen a better person of the job of taking American values apart, denying the freedoms we have enjoyed since the Bill of Rights was signed or to do a good job of backstabbing the very people that he claims to work for. Trump has spent a good portion of his presidency working with his political and financial backers dismantling the law and economic structure of our land so that they can reap the economic benefits of free tax money. It's all there in black and white cross-indexable print.

His ego is so powerful, his empathy so lacking, that he feels nothing as he hugs the American flag one moment to show his supporters that he loves the land, then sits down and signs an executive order that rolls back a regulation that will poison thousands of his own people the very next moment. (the dumping of toxins into the waterways rollback, etc.)

He will stand in front of thousands of his supporters, talk (lie) for an hour about how (bigly) America will be under his direction. A virtual sea of red MAGA hats will cheer him on, the adulation washed over him as a wave of ‘we love you Trump’, ‘ you're our god because you care about us little people’ and he will exhort them to ‘be patriots’ and ‘be his people’. He and his twisted egotism feeds off these poor folks grand dreams and expectations. He plays them like the proverbial fiddle. The very next day, he signs a budget that was a direct attack on those very same people that cheered him on, voted for him, thinks of him as a god among men. He and his helpers signed a proposal that would take huge amounts of food from the mouths of his own support base , their children, their parents. He signed that proposal that would take away many needed schoolteacher and after-school programs, indeed the whole public education system and put it directly into the hands of his friends in the private education sector. They would not even be able to afford to go to school. They would remain ignorant, which is right where he and his republican backers want them.

Trump's people (seem to) have no idea, they don’t even seem to care.

That is how bad Trump can eat souls like some kid eats candy.

If there is one thing about America today that can truly be called fake, it is Donald Trump.

Just more ELWNJ BS you buy into. You talk about respecting people with different opinions then support an article full of personal insults of those people. You are such a hypocrite.

First, it was already uncovered and reported in a hearing to Congress that Russian spent a whopping $1,600 on Facebook ads in an attempt to influence the election ... wow, $1,600 of the $1 Billion spent on the presidential election. How very influential!

Second, it was Comey the degenerate who said, "Trump eats at one's soul," and his credibility was obliterated years ago .... so ....

People who continue to pile on the president using the deranged language of others are really just useless parrots ... no original thought ... no original ideas ... just a bunch of NPCs regurgitating their scripted lines.

It old and tired. Find actual criminal behavior. Find actual malfeasance. Find presidential policy that is actually destroying the fabric of America like the previous WH occupant. Find an actual reason to spew hatred for the sitting president instead of just parroting the mindless ramblings of a complicit media.

Amusing, and insightful into how badly warped your mind has become from watching the left wing media's unending anti-Trump BS.

I shudder each time I think how close the stupid and ignorant lefties came to electing the bat-crap crazy (and fake) Hildabitch, .... and also the fact that the fools of the left still think Trump was the worst choice.

Just another common leftist sore loser..."eats at ones soul" amusement article!

Donald Trump is fighting for the socially ignorant too.

People who deny that the President is fighting against a international force, who greatly desire our sovereignty null and void, are willing participants in their own doom.

These people don't understand that the first and second amendment are being undermined by a Globalist Army.

On a recent progressive news show, a leftist reporter accidentally defended our right to bear arms..he said that, "if the Venezuelan people weren't without firearms, they could defend democracy" not verbatim, but to the exact effect.

We have millions of people who cry "Putin, Putin" because of villainous people who hate and sold out the United States and its foundation for Sovereignty and Freedom.

All of the radical leftist indoctrinated, cannot see our ruin on the horizon, if the President isn't successful.

Hillary/Obama, and a "Few" elite Intelligence Officials are still attempting a soft Coup even after being exposed.

The left has mostly created their own imaginary Pandora's box about our President of the United States; the honorable Donald J Trump.

Our future Sovereignty is the ultimate to our actual future.

No matter what a leftist believes about the President, they better understand that our nation going the way of Venezuela, is in no way just conjecture.

If there is one thing about America today that can truly be called fake, it is Donald Trump.

slatten49, I don't usually agree with you, and don't get the wrong idea, the situation hasn't changed on this post. But I think you're doing what so many others have done. You look at Trump and you see a brash, boastful, unpresidential, man-child who isn't doing anything the way we'd expect from a refined, professional, political leader. But no matter how many times we try to enlighten you, you don't seem to understand that when we look at Trump, for the most part, we see the same thing. What happened in Nov 2016 is that a huge number of Americans had become fed up with the way "refined, professional, leaders" of BOTH parties had walked us down the path to the United States becoming just another puzzle piece in the NWO/Global Society/WhateverYouWantToCallIt. That's not what we wanted, so we voted to hit a huge reset button with Trump, and you know what? Things have worked out pretty much like we expected. So, now a few comments about the article...

Sorry, couldn't finish the comment before I hit the wrong key. Work calls.

There was a small amount spent in rubles, but much more spent in other currencies, but the beauty of social media is the fact that people share repeatedly with others causing one post to be read by millions.

Once again, to all: "As it (the opinion/viewpoint) concerns our president, I know it flies in the face of many good people I have come to know and respect on OPP. Yet, I admit to agreeing with much, if not most, of what the writer has to say. I also accept that those same good people will question this evaluation of the man just as I often question theirs. C'est la vie."

"I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever, in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else, where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to Heaven but with a party, I would not go there at all."---again, Thomas Jefferson

I watched him (Trumpy) at the Flordia rally last night and was thinkin' he'd be a good carnival barker or comic entertainer. Yet I've seen him hug a small child with, in my opinion, genuine feeling. Still, he could be a sociopath who knows how the game of manipulation is played.

Actually, I don't think any of us know the real Donald Trump. My sense is that the jury is still out. We'll have to leave it to history and future generations to figure out.

One last thought. I don't know what some think of Cris Christi, but he was in Donald Trump's corner during the campaign and was part of Trumpy's transition team before being ousted by Jerad Kursner, Trumpy's son-in-law.

Just more ELWNJ BS you buy into. You talk about respecting people with different opinions then support an article full of personal insults of those people. You are such a hypocrite.

It is astounding the intense hatred on display daily. This kind of pseudo-intellectual garbage born of being absolutely poisoned by hate says a lot more about the sick, twisted, false narrative author, than it ever could about President Trump. And these hate infected cretins aren't satisfied with hating President Trump, they are so sick and twisted, they insult and hate millions of Americans, because they had the nerve to disagree with them. President Trump doesn't eat at anyone's soul. It would appear the author is however soulless. Disgusting.
