I will always have at least one dog . they are fantastic animals . I say , he's my dog and i'm his human . even though he minds very well but not to words . just certain sounds . Mine has me trained well, also. Our love is steadfast. The nicest people I’ve ever known were also dog lovers. How can a human being not be?

My gang of four have there own language and I understand what they are telling me most of the time. They have me very well trained.

Rose, this makes my face wet remembering Max, 6F49, my faithful sentry dog in the old K-9 Corps. Pewee will probably log on because he, too, was a K-9 handler. Those of us who were called to patrol outer perimeters alone had full confidence in our dogs to alert and warn us of danger. This developed a very special bond.
Our Zoe girl died a short time ago and everyday without a dog in our home is a sad day. I've got a couple things I need to do first but bringing a dog back into our home is a very high priority. Thank you for the remembrance.

Every boy should have a dog when they grow up! I suspect that most of those who have shot up theaters, schools, places of worship, etc never had a dog and never learn compassion; instead, they became self-centered/indulgent, narcissistic, tilted sociopaths who never learned to care for others.
