Because she's being used in some way and will be discarded in a dramatic fashion. She'll be a fall guy at some point, IMO

I tend to agree with you. It’s like she’s a true representative of the “useful i***t” club. She was hired to play an act and she’s doing it. She’s been fed a lot of propaganda and was never taught to understand what America was founded on and it’s core principles, let alone the collective genius of our founders. She’s bought into the lies about c*****e c****e and the “benefits” of socialism/c*******m, the most murderous ideology ever.
On the other hand, she is an adult, and if the blind lead the blind, they’ll both fall into a ditch. She’s old enough to be accountable for her actions.
I was also raised rabid l*****t. At some point a choice is made to go along with the lies and then to justify them and then be, yourself, a promoter of them. Or, to question the status quo and buck against the tide. Fortunately, I chose, consciously, the latter. The backlash from the tolerable left only confirms my choice.
In the end, it isn’t as much about intelligence as it is about conscience, and choices made accordingly. Right?
Then again, what would we have seen looking in from the outside of Abby Johnson’s life at some point days before her eyes were opened to the reality of a******n that rocked her world?
That’s why we have to keep it civil. Right? Anyone who believes anyone else is beyond reform or redemption hasn’t heard about the life of the author of “Amazing Grace”! We never know who is on the brink of realizing the t***h and we don’t want to be the one being the stumblingblock. That’s the hard part for me, at least.
