Legal team defends teacher who raised sex ed concerns
'Case is about the freedom to hold Christian views about what it means to be human'

The Christian Legal Centre in the United Kingdom is defending a school teacher who was fired for expressing exclusively to her Facebook friends her concern about the L**T agenda adopted by her child’s Church of England school.

The teacher, identified only as Kristie, lost her job at Farmor’s School in Fairford, Gloucestershire, after she told her Facebook group about the “No Outsiders” program.

The program “challenges the Christian understanding of family and openly promotes L**T lifestyles to children as young as four,” according to Christian Concern, a sister organization to the Legal Center.

The teacher had placed two posts on her page.

One said: “Please read this they are brainwashing our children! Please sign this petition, they have already started to brainwash our innocent wonderfully created children and it’s happening in our local primary school now.”

She asked friends to sign a petition that expresses opposition to the government’s “Relationships and Sex Education” program, which is mandatory for children.

Her second post linked an article about the rising “t*********r ideology” in American schools, with the message, “This is happening in our primary schools now.”

The statements were visible only to “friends,” but they were reported to her employer anyway.

The Legal Centre’s chief executive, Andrea Williams, said the teacher is challenging her dismissal.

“This case is about the freedom to hold Christian views about what it means to be human,” Williams said in an online report. “Many Christians have faced pressure for expressing these views in the workplace before, but in this case, Kristie has been dismissed for sharing her views among friends on Facebook.”

Williams explained the statements reflect “the genuine and justified concerns of a parent about the sexual ideology currently being imposed on her own children.”

“Kristie not only lost her job, but her whole career is now tarnished with the accusation that for holding these views she is now a danger to vulnerable children,” Williams said. “This is despite an exemplary record at the school and in her work.”

The report said the sex-ed program was being adopted by her child’s Church of England Primary School. Officials there had sent out a letter telling parents of their decision to promote the L**T agenda.

Kristie attended a meeting about the program then expressed her concerns online.

School officials decided that was “gross misconduct,” and they noted in her dismissal notice that her “online comments … could bring the school into disrepute and damage the reputation of the school.”

The school then went ahead with her dismissal despite admitting there was no “direct evidence” of any damage to the school reputation.

The teacher said, in a statement to Christian Concern: “I hold these views because of my Christian beliefs, beliefs and views which are shared by hundreds of thousands of parents across the U.K. … As soon as the investigation into the posts began, I was repeatedly told: ‘this is nothing to do with your religion.’ That was clearly a legal tactic and of course it has everything to do with my religion.”

There is not and has never been a t*********r or gay ideology. This is simply a curriculum that explains to students that not all people are the same. There is no promotion of a “LGBQ lifestyle” wh**ever that is. The curriculum simply explains that people are different in many ways and that they should be accepted regardless of their differences and respected as people.

Being Gay is accepted by all but the extreme right across the nation and world. Our own Supreme Court ruled that gay couples have the same right to marry a same sex partner as opposite sex couples. This is not only nearly universally accepted it is the law of the land.

There are a significant number of people who are born intersex. They do not choose to be born this way or not to it is simply how they are. For a religious person it is important to accept God in his infallibility made them this way. Rather than ostracizing these people it makes sense to teach students and sadly misinformed and bigoted adults to treat them and others with respect and acceptance.

Intersex people are born with sex characteristics (including g*****ls, gonads and c********e patterns) that do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies.

Intersex is an umbrella term used to describe a wide range of natural bodily variations. In some cases, intersex traits are visible at birth while in others, they are not apparent until puberty. Some chromosomal intersex variations may not be physically apparent at all.

In biological terms, sex may be determined by a number of factors present at birth, including:

the number and type of sex c********es,
the type of gonads—ovaries or testicles,
sex hormone levels,
the internal reproductive anatomy (such as the uterus in females), and
the external g*****lia.
People whose characteristics are not either all typically male or all typically female at birth are intersex.

Some intersex traits are not always visible at birth; some babies may be born with ambiguous g*****ls, while others may have ambiguous internal organs (testes and ovaries). Others will not become aware that they are intersex unless they receive genetic testing, because it does not manifest in their phenotype.

You're confused about that, kevyn. Yes, that's the narrative, but it is NOT the reality.

Of course, a number of Muslims are extreme right as are a number of Christians Hindu and Jews. Right wing fundamentalism in all religions is a threat to our societies. It would be great for all of them to be d**gged into modernity or isolated and disarmed so as to pose a threat to no one but themselves.

Are you kidding, intersex people have always existed and have been recognized as such for centuries, they exist in significant numbers, it is a matter of medical and scientific fact.

Islam is universally h********c. It is a basic tenet of their religion. Not just that its "wrong" but that gays should be k**led. Yet I've seen you defend and praise muslims in other posts. How do you reconcile that?

Yes, there are a few people who are born with some male and some female parts, and with an extra c********e. However, those people are NOT the "t*********r" about which we are referring. The t*********r concept that the L***Q activists are pushing are people who think they are one sex and ALL their DNA and every part of their anatomy is the other sex, the one in which they are fertile (unlike the intersex children to which you are referring) There are animals that are t***sexual, for instance female dogs that have testicles where ovaries should be. They are always infertile, and it is diagnosed usually when a veterinarian attempts to spay them. There are also cattle where sterile females, usually actually intersex, are common when a male and a female are born together from one cow. That problem is common in Herefords, and in certain lines. The dog problem most often occurs in spaniels and French Bulldogs. BUT again, you know full well that is not what the L***Q are pushing for. Having worked for 40 plus years with boys who had been abused, often sexually, the questions about their sexual g****r and a wish that they were girls, thinking that they would not have been raped and molested if they were girls. That is, of course BS
For those OPP readers who are not preprogramed to accept your BS, may I suggest going to the websight "S*x C****e Regret" run by Walt Heyer.

Wrong. I'm nowhere near extreme right and its not accepted by everyone. People who are homosexual need help not acceptance of behavior that is not natural.

Recognizing their need for help is not bigoted - that claim is patently absurd.

The Supreme Court is not the arbiter of morals nor is government.

God didn't "make homosexuals that way". Homosexuality is like any other character issue - some fight with an excessive temper, others with a tendency to become violent, others with the tendency toward spewing bile and h**e on a forum, etc. Some people fight these tendencies while others give in to them. It is the latter that need help. Not condemnation but help.

As the L**T community wants to normalize sexual deviance they are trying to redefine g****r and getting the psuedo science they want to support it. Repeating lies over and over may change some people's minds but it doesn't change the t***h.

You mean you wish all religions were amoral. They will all be one day - except for one.
