Luke chapter 13

Verse 1 - 5

We are all sinners and need repentance every day. It is taught that after confessing that we are sinners, (without knowing what is a sin and what is not), asking Jesus to come into our life, we are saved and spend the rest of our lives paying tithes and worshipping but not obeying God. We think we are saved while ignoring every sermon Christ preached, parable He taught, and miracle He performed. How can we be saved while abortion and same sex marriage are the law of the land? What good is your salvation when grown men and women are shitting on the streets? While all this is going on, the church says nothing.

Verse 6 - 9

There should be a change in your life when you start following Christ. All of the young do things in order to gain pleasure or avoid pain. A mature Christian is more concerned with what they can give more than what he can get. Finger pointers are useless.

Verse 10 - 17

The ruler of the synagogue didn’t heal anyone. He is trying to control what he cannot perform.Jesus attended the synagogue like He was nobody special. His disciples should take up their cross and follow Him.

Verse 18 and 19

God is a God of ideas. The only one that should tell you about the kingdom of God is someone that has been to heaven. It will start off small, but one day the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord. For some, they aren’t going to heaven, heaven is coming here. Birds live in trees, but do nothing for the tree. They look pretty and sound lovely, but there is not much meat on them If a person has never been to Seattle, they have no business telling you how to drive to Seattle, and Seattle is here. Letting someone tell you how to get to heaven, where they have never been doesn’t make sense.

Verse 20 - 22

You cannot tell if dough has levin in it until it is baked or time has passed and it rises. Jesus says beware of the levin of the Pharisees. One day we will be able to see the difference between wheat and tares.

Verse 23 and 24

Take the road less traveled. Don’t be like everyone else.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait, is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13 and 14

Verse 25 - 27

Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:21 24
These people trusted in their own righteousness. We are all sinners and have no righteousness apart from Christ.

Verse 28 - 30

The last person who should be teaching God’s word is a person who doesn’t understand what they are talking about. If you live your life trying to please God, satan will move the gates of hell to discredit you. he has to make it personal because his logic is pathetic. If necessary, he will try to find a diaper you soiled as an infant to show you have no bladder control. We all come into this world peeing in diapers. The only sin that we know of is our own. If no sin can be found, they will make something up. To teach school, you need a college degree in the subject you are teaching. To teach bible, man must approve. If you live your life trying to understand the bible, people will attack you personally when what you read disagrees with the nonsense they have accepted as truth from false prophets. Whatever reason a person has for not listening to God, is between them and God.

Verse 31 - 35

Friendship with the world is enmity with God. satan has deceived the whole world. A true follower of Christ will be persecuted.
Yea, and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
2 Timothy 3:12
