I can't speak for anyone else on the OPP website, but after reading the blog article below on the monofalabama site about the latest CIA fiasco, I could not decide if our CIA was completely and utterly incompetent, or more likely, guilty of guile, deceit, and manipulation and creation of evidence to achieve a desired political outcome.

Put this in context. We went to war in Iraq over the fictitious and bogus claim that Sadam Hussein had WMD's and was planning on using them. Over 600,000 people dead, including almost 5,000 US troops, using faulty intelligence (or non-faulty intelligence which is even worse). Trillions of dollars spent, and untold environmental damage.
The US and Nato launched missiles in Syria over bogus claims that Assad gassed his own people.
Now we have erroneous or fabricated evidence of a phony poisoning by Russian agents that led to an expulsion of diplomats, and the continuation of an attempt to sabotage US-Russian relations by our intelligence agencies.
I'm not sure which situation is worse. Was this is for ideological or political purposes, or to gin up additional military spending by exaggerating the Russian threat.
I do know that our CIA and Intelligence Services are in serious need of reform, and that the people responsible for these types of errors, or data manipulation should be eliminated from these agencies.
