Having a pretty terrible weekend weather wise (Although the sun has finally come out this afternoon) and I understand that some of my fellow OPP members are experiencing a bit of Mother Nature's wrath themselves...

Have had a pretty decent time playing with the munchkin and catching up on some office work... Also managed to get in a couple of phone calls home... Family and friends are all well, God be thanked...

One of my favorite things to do when the weather sucks is to put together one of my jigsaws.. Am currently working on a Game of Thrones map that my wife gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago... Not a new puzzle, but still pretty relaxing... Wouldn't mind a game of cribbage to be honest...

So how do my fellow OPPers wile away the hours when the weather prevents more strenuous activities?

Hope you all are well and smiling...

I used to go out, get drunk and raise hell. Now I read, drink coffee, and the most hell I raise is when I beat my wife at Chess or Scrabble. (Chess, anyway. She's sneaky as hell at Scrabble. Backgammon also.)

Few androgenized brains are properly equipped for a word battle with any of the female g****r.

Its just proven science.

I have a much larger vocabulary. She has a knack for hitting triple score words. With an x in them.

It was kinda crappy yesterday, so I cleaned. Vacuumed, mopped, dusted, washed bedding, pulled out appliances, and cleaned under, and behind. I even tried to vacuum the dogs. The shepard took it okay, but the bulldog just wasn't having it.
I try to be somewhat productive with cleaning, cooking, and household chores unlike Smedley who seems to enjoy beating his wife when the weather is bad.

Other times, I'm on here being a smartass.

There is nothing serendiptitious about it. Maybe for her.

You are a better man than I am. My wife won't allow me to do housework. I washed her lingerie with my grubby work clothes and forget to add detergent.I have not been allowed to touch the washer since. I can't touch her cookware--she says I'll use the wrong spatula or somthin'--She calls me a neanderthal and that I would die if she didn't take care of me. Fine I get to be a chavinist pig LOL

You're well trained... I'll give you that...
Cooking is a man's job... Women are in charge of salads and sandwiches in my family...
I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one who vacuums his dog
