I don't know where you get your information, but volcanic activity is often brought up. You might want to look at page 251 of the book Nature's Mutiny by Philipp Blom, which specifically references volcanic activity in detail. This isn't the only mention of the subject in the book, either. mry pages 12, 41, 42-43, 14, and 13. Nobody denies that volcanic activity affects the weather.

Every organism has an affect on its environment. How is it, that volcanic activity is never brought up ? Methane, in large quantities, is released during volcanic eruptions. It's also a greenhouse gas.

You have to thin it out some. I did that in Oregon. We cut down wh**ever the Forest Service painted yellow. Older trees have to go to make room for the new ones.

Holy moly Smedly, you said "Older trees have to go to make room for the new ones." I believe you have glimpsed behind the curtain and discovered the skewed logic of a Progressive health care plan.

Progressives seem to think humans and trees have a lot in common.

I'd feel safer being a tree than a human in the Progressive world of values.

Each year in my state the news reports record highs. Yet in the 90s we had highs of 130+ degrees with triple digit temps over nearly 3 months. Last summer's record high was 100 degrees and it hit that on 2 days out of the entire summer. Yet the news claimed it was a record heat!!!

You are confusing weather with climate. What is increasing is the AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF THE ENTIRE WORLD.

During the period described in the book, the decreasing temperatures caused a shift in crops that could be grown, which in turn caused economic shifts, which in turn caused social changes. Many different influences occurred that caused deep societal changes.

We might want to speculate that if, due to c*****e c****e, the American MidWest becomes too hot to grow wheat at maximum efficiency and if the crop moves North to Canada, there will be considerable economic effects on our farmers. Their economic distress will t***slate itself into the political realm. What form or forms will this take?

If that were true, the polar ice caps would still be shrinking, and the Pacific Ocean would still be warming. Instead the ice is thickening and expanding, and the Pacific Ocean has cooled significantly. The temperatures which are being recorded as record highs are not just in my area. If the climate was getting hotter, most places would have record highs surpass record highs nearly every year. Instead, most places recorded in the world have not had a record high in the 21st century.

Whenever there is a single incidence of inclement weather, the g****l w*****g lemmings jump on it as proof the world is getting warmer and we are all doomed. Whenever there is large areas with cooling trends, like the Pacific Ocean from Japan to California and the arctic and antarctic ice sheets thickening, they say we confuse weather with climate!

Wh**ever your sources, your information about the temperatures in the Arctic is incorrect. And the temperatures in many areas of the Pacific is getting higher. (Species are migrating north to cooler waters that have temperatures they have previously been accustomed to. That’s the information I get from a number of sources.

I can no longer find the raw data on the Pacific Ocean sensors. Only the smoothed adjusted numbers. And NASA has removed the satellite photos of the polar ice cap and replaced them with illustrations which have been adjusted for accuracy. Do they mean the actual ice caps increasing were not accurate as they didn't fit the narrative, so they replaced them with illustrations which were based on what they would be if the ice caps continued to reduce at the previous rate?

Note in this article that the ice sheets have been shrinking for 20,000 years but are now growing. Did human activity 20,000 years ago cause g****l w*****g?

Oh Joy, Richard Zip Code's head must have exploded when he read your post. Alarmists are not accustomed to actual scientific facts. They claim that WE are science deniers, but it is they who resist actual science and facts. Evidence shows that we are actually in a cooling period since the temperature peak in 1998. But alarmists and pseudo-scientists, who rely on government grants, refuse to recognize it. Their alarmist actions and proclamations would be comical except when they convince Congress to cough up millions of dollars for useless attempts to reverse g****l w*****g.

Good job Joy.
