Hosea chapter 13

Verse 1


And whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:12
There is strength in humility. Christians should lead humble lives until God lifts us up.

Verse 2 - 4

Religion replaced idolary. They are similar. They expect worship, but do nothing for you. Churches expect you to pay tithes, but can’t help you find a job. If you don’t have a job, your tithe is 0. If God is God, we should do as He says.

Verse 5 and 6

As long as things were tough, Israel obeyed God. When they got the land and things got good, they went astray. Israel learned the wrong lessons from its prosperity.

Verse 7 and 8

This displeased God then. This displeases God now. Abortion and same sex marriage as national policies anger God.

Verse 9 and 10

Israel lost everything they had because of their own poor choices. One day, we will realize God’s word should be followed and not policed. America is Israel. We have a president, not a king.

Verse 11

Saul was Israel’s first king. God wanted to be king. Israel wanted a king they could see..They didn’t want to obey God.

Verse 12 - 14

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:14
No one understands the bible well enough to police it.It is a bigger sin to falsely accuse. They can predict the day a child will be born but not the minute.

Verse 15 and 16

There are more scriptures predicting Israel’s downfall in Hosea than any other book.
