I traded two model 290 semi autos to get this little rifle. The 290's had to be immaculately cleaned and only cci mini mags would operate in them. Remington ammo would always jam in them. I got s**k of these beautiful but jammy sobs and now I have a pretty nice little rifle. The 250 is a lever action and fun to shoot. I went through 100 rounds today without a jam. Two things I have learned---CCI makes a superior 22 round and Winchester 290s suck.

I have been doing great. My boy just got done with 10 days training with the Coast Guard. Had a welcome home day for him. I took him out and taught him how to drive a stick and we went out and shot up some targets. Gramma mom made his favorite hot wings with Franks hot sauce and sliders and salads and stuff. It was a great day.

My pappy has a 44-40 1873 model Winchester that his pappy gave him.

My oldest brother will get it someday.

As for 22 caliber, my favorite target handgun is a J.C. Higgins 9 shot 22 revolver.

I can actually hit the side of a red barn with it.

Love it. I have a JC higgins 20 ga that can surely hit the side of the barn. Gave that old bolt action to my boy. Those things are indestructable.

I have had problems with Winchester ammunition in the past. 6.5 x55 Swedish. 4 rounds out of a 20 round box x 2 boxes split casings all the way to the shoulder at 12 o clock 3 6 9 o clock. Just about perfectly right angles. I held onto one of these just to show the guys down the range. Winchester ammo sucks.

The chamber would have to be loose I would think to allow that to happen. Typically Winchester brass is sturdy and great for reloading.

I'm starting to wonder if barns are a sign of bigotry! I started to suggest a pole barn, but, Lord knows where that would have went! That would have the t***sq***rs, and feminists mad!

And the Polish

You need to buy a PC thesaurus...

Barn = Bovine containment facility... ('cause Lefties all know... That's where ya keep the cows )
