A very good scripture AuntiE. It appears that there are a number on OPP that believe they are bigger than God and don't need him. Some on here believe that he is mythical in origin and is therefore not relevant for today. I really don't care as to what their beliefs are and where and how they came to their beliefs of theirs that there is no God. That is between them and their maker. My only question is why most they then proselytize others into believing the same as they when they h**e when Christians do it to them. I know this message will get attacked somehow by the left but I try never to attack them or convert them as I try to keep my comments between conservatives on here.

I've also read the Bible according to Mark Twain. I do recall that he gold his publisher not to publish his latest works until 100 years have passed after his passing. Wise man.

It is such a joy to know that our assurance is not just based on a hope so, maybe so, fantasy. Our assurance is based on the t***h in a Book that has stood the test of time.

"Even in their thoughts." Holding one's tongue is not Christian; having no thought to say ill is Christian. Turning the other cheek is not meant to be difficult, a sacrifice or trial, but joyous. The Beatitudes list a state of mind already in compliance, not a list of challenges demanding our effort and intent. I know you know this, AuntiE, but wanted to be clear.
