It is appropriate to investigate an elected official, including the President, appointees and related staff, when there is evidence of potential illegal acts. That's sometimes called probable cause. It is NOT appropriate to do such investigations, in the hopes of FINDING probable cause. Both Democratic and Republican politicians and their supporters, have misused the authority to investigate - for political purposes.

Investigating someone because you don't like them, don't like their policies, want to impede their re-e******n/e******n chances, or any reason other than plain t***h seeking - is wrong. By the same token, failing to, or reluctant to, investigate someone in the face of clear probable cause, because it might adversely affect your party, or your partisan agenda - is equally wrong.

There are countless examples of the misuse of investigative authority going back centuries, with more added every day. How many B******i investigations were there trying to find malfeasance by Hillary Clinton, 3, 4? When the first 2 or 3 investigations failed to find "dirt" on Clinton, another investigation was conducted that accidentally discovered the e-mail controversy. This "dirt" was NOT the focus or purpose of the investigation, yet was treated as the "gotcha" moment, as though that's what they were looking for all along. In a sense, it was................because they kept fishing until they caught something. Not to excuse Clinton's error in any way, the multiple fishing expeditions was - wrong.

There are those who desperately hope that the Mueller investigation will provide the "gotcha" against Trump, and there are those who are desperate to excuse, hide or somehow ameliorate the effects of any "gotcha" content - and they are both wrong. There is plenty of anecdotal and circumstantial evidence of potential malfeasance by the Trump apparatus, the probable cause if you will, to warrant a closer look, but that "look" should be done in secret and the results kept under wraps until completed............not doled out a bit at a time to favored media resources.

The search for the T***H takes back seat to the search for damaging stuff to aid in the next e******n, or to provide blackmail fodder. BOTH parties are guilty of this type of malfeasance...............and we should not accept this behavior.................even when it's aiding OUR side.

Couldn’t DISAGREE more with your little treatise.

In her mind, Mrs. Clinton didn’t make any “mistakes”. Everything she did, or, has ever done, was with very careful planning and calculation.

Furthermore, her treasonous behavior was clearly driven by her greed; for power and money.

The Clintons have been a dark influence on American business and politics for over forty years. They used their power and influence to “rig” various governmental institutions in order to avoid prosecution in the event power was diminished. Their blatant immorality alone, would be enough to persecute and prosecute them.

It’s far past the time to punish BOTH of them for their crimes. Criminal behavior of this magnitude should never be allowed again!

This was an attempted c**p, and it will go on until the 2020 e******n. I don't think using Hillery as an example of this type of harassment is rediclus since the goings on of the DOJ and FBI.
This also exceeds a search for t***h President Trump gave them everything the special councel asked for( over a million pages ) but that wasn't enough ,so they drug this on for two years.
Now do you think anyone else could have had that much scrutiny and not have some kind of charge?

Example: there’s a dead cowboy on the ground. He’s full of arrows. So, you ask a bunch of Indians who did it?

And yes, the Hildebeast is EXACTLY LIKE A DEAD HORSE!

You and I,though on opposite sides of the political spectrum, both know that Hilary is and has been guilty of mostly everything she has been suspected of and no amount of your whitewash will change that. Money is her God, and she did and will do anything, legal or illegal, to squire it. Even treason was not out of the picture for her. Explain the billions of dollars that dissapeared when she was Sect. Of State. As far as B******i, she was very much in the middle of it from sending missiles to the enemy that used one to hit our aircraft, to sending Stevens to try to recover them. She was also complicit in the stand down order to help stop the attack on Stevens and his party. She was also a part of the f**e cover up about a film causing it. So as far as a dead horse, it is still spreading its crap from people like you who refuse to believe the t***h.

COST –

Kenneth Starr’s investigation cost about 60 million dollars (that is the minimal conservative estimate, some claim it was actually 80 million dollars.) It resulted in no recompense, or recovered dollars.

Robert Mueller’s investigation cost approximately 25 million dollars, as of two months ago. But, it has recovered more than 48 million dollars in real assets from criminals (real estate and several autos) which is all now the property of the United States Treasury. It has “taken in” nearly double of what was “paid out” – and the additional cash intake from Paul Manafort is still ongoing, and a matter of dispute, at the moment. (Paul Manafort managed to cleverly hide a lot of his cash in foreign banks, and by gifting it to members of his family. That part of his case is still ongoing. He owes another $43,000,000 in hard cash, but claims he does not have it.)

Net cost: Starr = cost the Government $60,000,000.00 (1994 dollars)

Net cost: Mueller = literally profited $23,000,000.00 to the U. S. Treasury … So far.
