The chain says they don’t discriminate over anything, which is true, but the so-called progressives and abc gays are the ones who are discriminating! Lots of ambiguity me thinks!!

Me thinks they made too big a deal about wh**ever their first issue/skirmish was. I did see where at one point the CEO said that she still thinks gay marriage is wrong, but she will keep her mouth shut about it.

She needs to keep speaking out. You people are all about forced submission.
They serve a quality product, with a great business model, so they should stand their ground against the likes of you.

Wayfarers passing through San Antonio International Airport will be out of luck if they’re craving Chick-fil-A's crispy chicken or waffle fries, as the city council has banned the chicken-centric chain from opening up shop in the air hub due to the company’s alleged “legacy of anti-L***Q behavior.”

On Thursday, six members of the San Antonio City Council rejected the inclusion of Chick-fil-A from the new Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement for the airport, KTSA reports. The seven-year contract for concession management at the terminal is expected to create $2.1 million in revenue for the Texas city; the motion that passed gave the green light to food shops including Smoke Shack and Local Coffee.

“With this decision, the City Council reaffirmed the work our city has done to become a champion of e******y and inclusion," Councilman Roberto Treviño said of the v**e, as per News 4 San Antonio. "San Antonio is a city full of compassion, and we do not have room in our public facilities for a business with a legacy of anti-L***Q behavior."

"Everyone has a place here, and everyone should feel welcome when they walk through our airport," he continued.

The day before, Think Progress published tax documents revealing that in 2017, the Chick-fil-A Foundation gave over $1.8 million in charitable donations to some organizations that have come under scrutiny regarding their stance on L***Q issues.

Over $1.65 million of that contribution was given to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which writes in an online “Statement of Faith” that it believes “marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman,” and believes “sexual intimacy” should only be expressed “within [that] context,” CBS News reports.

A rep for Chick-fil-A, Inc. returned Fox News’ request for comment on the San Antonio airport ban with the following statement:

“The press release issued by Councilmember Treviño was the first we heard of his motion and its approval by the San Antonio City Council. We agree with him that everyone is and should feel welcome at Chick-fil-A,” the rep said. “We have a fundamental code of conduct at Chick-fil-A: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

“The 140,000 people who serve customers in our restaurants on a daily basis represent and embrace all people, regardless of race, g****r, ethnicity, sexual orientation or g****r identity,” they continued. “Our intent is to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”

“We would still welcome the opportunity to have a thoughtful dialogue with the city council and plan to reach out to them. It’s unfortunate that mischaracterizations of our brand have led to decisions like this,” the rep concluded. “The sole focus of the Chick-fil-A Foundation is to support causes focused on youth and education. We are proud of the positive impact we are making in communities across America and have been t***sparent about our giving on our web site.”

The news marks the second time in recent months that Chick-fil-A has been banned from launching a new location in a commercial hotspot due to the company’s supposed L***Q stance.

In November 2018, Rider University made headlines for turning down a student body survey that v**ed to bring Chick-fil-A to campus as a new fast-food option, citing concerns over the company’s attitudes toward the L***Q community.

The school said in a statement that the Chick-fil-A option was removed “based on the company's record widely perceived to be in opposition to the L***Q community." It admitted that the move could be perceived as a “form of exclusion,” but the institution wanted to remain “faithful to our values of inclusion.”

The chain pushed back against the university's characterization, saying the restaurant is merely providing food and doesn't have any agenda.

In early March, Cynthia Newman, the dean of the College of Business at Rider University, elected to resign from her position regarding the Chick-fil-A ban. Newman said she made the decision on the basis of her “very committed” Christian faith, detailing that she could not support the university’s choice to bar the chain "in good conscience.”

About what, three, four years ago "progressives" tried to organize a boycott of Chick Fil A in an effort to put them out of business for embracing their Christian beliefs, but it backfired: the chain's business multiplied in response.

The very meanness of "progressives" is showcased by their desire to ruin people or put them out of business for disagreeing with their agendas.

That more than amply shows who the REAL h**ers are, and knowing this, the left tries to cover it up by accusing conservatives of being the h**ers.

The t***h, however, is manifested by their actions.

Ignoring gays is not condoning them. Do you think that if a gay person comes into your restaurant and you serve them that you are condoning their behavior? Hiring a gay person is no more condoning gays than that.

The right runs this rhetoric about atheists hating and persecuting christians, but we don't hear about any atheist business owners firing them because they h**e them so much. So who h**es who when a business starts openly denigrating gays?

I'm sure there are many degrees of attitudes among all the separate franchises at this point, and this isn't fair to those owners who wouldn't have a problem with hiring or dealing with gays, but if you were open minded and don't discriminate or have a problem it would not be a franchise to invest in.

Did you catch where the college put it out to the students for a v**e? In that closed environment there would have been a lot of people who would not have set foot in that restaurant, so actually why would you want to go there?

When we were in southern california I wanted to see how good they were, I don't give a damn about gays or h**ers if it's good, I'll eat there. In my opinion it was good, it's fast food, nothing particularly special. I prefer El Pollo myself, but I can say if I liked Chick Fil I'd eat there.

This is our society, cop an attitude toward gays and you are going to lose a lot of business. If you don't care and want to "practice" your religious beliefs, hey, it's a free country and those who have an attitude toward your attitude will not use your services.

I know of no one who would say ignoring customers at your restaurant is a good idea, unless they come in drunk and loud, filthy and smelly or fondle each other or the wait staff, in which case they should be remove from the restaurant. However, being forced to do a piece of art, on a cake or a painting on a canvass that is a direct insult to your religion is violating that persons rights.
and to those who say "its a f***kn cake I might suggest that the artist do a drawing of the couple f***ing since that is what they are celebrating.
I expect that admin will ban me for w week for that valid comment. See you all later, maybe.

Keep your fingers crossed. I always attempt to remain from the vulgar but honestly could not think of another way to phrase it.

If they ban you, of all people, I'll protest to Admin and encourage others to do so. How can you have free speech if you squelch free speech?

I am not sure that free speech is the goal of Admin here or elsewhere but we shall see. In the mean time I will try to stay out of trouble while still trying to get my point across. I will try, any how
