You are absolutely correct, and to affirm otherwise is to conflate the history of these two old (ancient?) and closely related religious belief systems. However, Judeo-Christianity is a valid term generally accepted, especially in a societal or legal context.

'Judeo-Christian' is a term that groups Judaism and Christianity, either in reference to Christianity's derivation from Judaism, both religions' common use of the Torah (the Old Testament in Christianity), or due to perceived parallels or commonly shared values between these two religions. Jesus was born a Jew and lived as such. Christianity itself was founded on the Jewish faith, with the added revelations of the New Testament. Jews are not 'offended' or 'in denial' of Jesus Christ, they simply do not recognize Him as the Messiah they have so long waited for.


Are you referring to the Pharisees who actually petitioned Pontius Pilate to sentence Jesus to death, or the Z*****t Jews who are alive and breathing today and had no hand in what to me is a heinous crime? The Pharisees did not 'h**e' Jesus in the way you h**e the Jews, they simply saw him as a threat to their tenuous hold on power and in mobster parlance, 'rubbed him out'. In those days, just as today, there were those who leveraged common religious beliefs for less than religious purposes.

Remember this; not all Z*****ts are Jews and not all Jews are Z*****ts. Z*****ts simply work toward the re-establishment of a Jewish homeland in the territory defined as the historic Land of Israel. That is not a religious tenet and to many is considered an unrealistic goal.

I know that. I have my pocket Constitution within arms reach. At the time of the writing and passing of the Constitution, there was only the Christian religion, not counting what the native Americans believed and a small number of Jews. No Mormons, no atheists, no Satanist, no Jehova Witnesses, no Taoist, no Buddhist, no Voodoo, no other religion which I'm aware of with a different diety. That statement means they should not favor the Catholics over the Protestants or Baptist over Methodist. They didn't think they had to spell it out for dummies 200 + years later who twist and lie about everything. You have to go back and read the supporting documents being debated at the time and their diaries. That's why originalist get so upset when people stray from the original intent. It brings nothing but trouble and division. Unity is much greater than diversity when it comes to religion.
