At least Songbird McCain is gone for good! What a stain on the rest of us veterans let alone on his fellow POWs.

I am sure I have never told my story because leftleaners would have called it al lies. My doctor wanted me to have an oxygen making machine back in 2011. Of course, the machine I had came from the group that provided me my CPAP machine. It was very old and noisy and in late 2012 was switched with a much newer one that allowed me to drop off to sleep almost immediately every night. My doctor was not very happy when she found out that the company had come to my house to get the machine after Obamacare became the new thing in 2012. I told her to just let it go as I was getting to sleep pretty well by myself. I would sure like to have the machine back because it and CPAP weren't necessary, just CPAP worked fine.

Just think, Obamacare took away my machine and it was a wonder I got along without oxygen but I didn't want my doctor to get in trouble. Here we are 6 years later and she is still unhappy as hell about it. I am still unhappy about this but won't try to get a anybody in trouble with me. It was not Obamacare that took my machine, nope Medicare and I can't have them mad at me.

Lots of hearsay & half t***hs about McCain's Military career floating about... worst case he tried & failed... while Trump lied & chased women... honor & respect are earned not given...American Presidents work for We the people... we don't work for the President... besides the fact he has a nasty habit of not paying for labor...

There has been much made about McCain refusing early release from Hanoi Hilton. But what is rarely mentioned is that the Hanoi Hilton POWs had a pact that none would accept early release. There are the medical reports from when all the POWs were checked when they returned. He weighed considerably more and all the others had physical evidence of torture, but not him despite his claim that he was tortured. The other POWs do not back his claim! And here is his broadcast from BEFORE he was sent to the Hanoi Hilton!!!!

Here's the deal: At least McCain served! I didn't support his politics, but I will give credit where credit is due. McCain served faithfully, was captured, and to my knowledge never asked for special treatment due to his dad being a former admiral. What military branch and during what 'operations' did Trump serve? Oh wait, didn't Trump say "avoiding STD's was HIS Viet Nam?" Whether you liked McCain or h**ed him, unless you have served you really have no right commenting on "his" service.

My response was not about comparing McCain's service to his country to Trump's. Obviously Trump has not served his country in the military. But the fact that Trump did not serve does not make McCain a hero. And yes. I have served. I was a volunteer so my becoming disabled due to toxic exposures can be said was part of my putting my life on the line for my country and countrymen. But my son and grandson were born with birth defects due to my service. So though I was never in the Hanoi Hilton, I do believe as a disabled veteran I have some basis for criticism. I believe, that if possible, I would take my own life before making the sort of anti-American broadcast McCain did. Especially since it was not made to end any torture. In fact, it was made before he ever arrived at the Hanoi Hilton where he claims to have been tortured. A claim refuted both by other POWs and by his medical evaluation taken after his release into Project Homecoming. It was the other POWs at the Hanoi Hilton which gave him the nickname Songbird. The VietCong called him the prince. Trump did not serve in our military. Nor did he aid and abet the enemy by making a treasonous broadcast to assist them and discredit our country in the eyes of the world!

the facts are the facts Trump shows great respect to our troops and the sacrifices they make Obama or Clinton never have that is a fact. My father never served because of his bad eyesight doesn't make him a bad person or a t*****r anymore then Trump. His brother served and was captured and released after the war was never right after. The military has its list of no goes they won't take people that need to be MADE fit to serve and during wartime, they don't have time for this its that simple. If that bothers you sorry. Both my brothers served, my cousin served and my oldest son served their dad was a marine and retired after 22 yrs. If we can understand this fact so should you!

I disagree. Americans have the right to criticise any portion of our government, including our military and military personnel. Yet it is not Trump calling McCain "Songbird" but his fellow POWs and other veterans like myself. I heard plenty of criticism of GW Bush from anti-war liberals who never served. Of course there was also plenty from veterans like myself but for different reasons. He was looked down upon for his periods of AWOL and when t***sferred to Massachusetts could have been charged with desertion for never checking in to his assigned post. Also, despite Trump never having served in our military, he is now Commander in Chief over all our military. As such, he is expected to make judgments regarding our military and military personnel, as well as the VA and veterans.

My opinions of McCain were arrived at long before Trump ran for president. To look at my opinion and rant about Trump's as if I could not have an opinion of my own, is insulting. You are entitled to your opinion. If that is hero worshiping McCain, so be it. I will not get riled up because you don't agree with me. But don't imply that because Trump has formed an opinion similar to my own; that I could not have come to one of my own.

Don't know and don't care. He did not cause McCain to make his anti-American broadcast, so he was irrelevant to the incident.

So you equate McCain with our troops? How demeaning to those of us who served loyally and never abetted the enemy! McCain never represented our troops!!!! Our troops are better than that!
