Gee I was alive for both of these but don't remember the Kathryn Bigelow but my late wife would have and as far as Charlie Sheen being fired from CBS I remember that but he was a drunk was he not?

Ms. Bigelow won for Hurt Locker. As veterans with a Son in the Army EOD trade, that movie was amazing/dreadful to watch - although my son said there was an awful lot of "artistic license" taken (well, he said BS, but I cleaned it up).
As for Charlie Sheen, I remember good stuff (Red Dawn, Lucas, Platoon, Young Guns, Men At Work, and many more). And does anyone who loves baseball movies not go nuts when "Wild Thing" heads to the mound. Sadly, he just got a little too full of himself and had too much of everything - money, drugs, sex, ... But I will say this - I thought Two and a Half Men was great until they kicked him off. Jon Cryer has spent his career as a Remora feeding off people with actual talent. And Ashton Kutcher, who is talented, was miscast (they obviously paid him a ton of money). Loved Berta, Evelyn, Rose, and who could forget Kandi?
