Paying forward works,guys...
If I am in line at a store and have a lot of items I always let the one behind me go ahead if they only have a few.

I did the same thing...Now i dont go to the store much...My son does for me..
I am a firm believer in the concept of 'paying forward' but in this case. it doesn't apply. If I understand correctly a 'magic' computer somewhere generates the quick pick numbers randomly when the button is pressed. Therefore, the winning numbers were just randomly selected and could have been generated the day before or a month before or never.
Good story though and maybe the lottery winner even believes they did the 'right' thing by letting someone go ahead of them.
Same rationale that says, the person leaving a slot machine just set it up for the next person to sit down. How does that work for you?
One more little thing. If a slot machine produces a jackpot combination, the odds of doing it the next spin are identical as the odds for doing it the first time.
