AuntiE, a post against guns? Truly shocking. It is either that or a non sequitur: 1 an inference that does not follow from the premises specifically : a fallacy resulting from a simple conversion of a universal affirmative proposition or from the t***sposition of a condition and its consequent.
But let's go with this straightforward definition: "a statement that does not follow logically from or is not clearly related to anything previously said."

Sorry, please explain the odd "You must accept us as such or you are a r****t bigot." The top statement seems at odds with the bottom statement, if the poster is meant to approve of guns.

We could also add these.

Thomas Jefferson, of Virginia:
“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” — Proposed Virginia Constitution, 1776

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms. . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” — Jefferson`s “Commonplace Book,” 1774-1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

George Mason, of Virginia:
“[W]hen the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to ens***e them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually.”. . . I ask, who are the m*****a? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers.” — Virginia`s U.S. Constitution ratification convention, 1788

Not under discussion. Please answer my questions about that very confusing poster. It makes little to no sense.

Okay then, I will take it as gun advocacy, though it fails and is pretty much nonsense. How can you not see the stupidity of that poster? This is my response.

There have been 15 mass shootings this year up to 3/3, and defining mass shootings means more than three. How peaceful was that? Most of those shootings were in states with loose enough gun laws that a good guy with a gun could have intervened...but none appeared. Show the victims your poster.

Hey, Hold a huge NRA gala and unfurl a 50'x50' image of that tasteless and indecent and insensitive poster before the families of those listed below:

May 18, 2018: At least 10 people were k**led in an active shooter situation at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas.

Feb. 14, 2018: A former student who had been expelled for disciplinary problems is arrested after a shooting at a Florida high school that left 17 people dead and 16 wounded.

Oct. 1, 2017: Gunman opens fire on a country music concert in Las Vegas, Nevada, k*****g at least 58 people and wounding more than 500 others, in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

June 2016: Gunman k**ls 49 people at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

December 2015: Couple k**ls 14 people after storming California social services agency. They are k**led in gun battle with police.

November 2015: Gunman k**ls three after storming a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic; he is arrested after a hourslong standoff with police.

October 2015: Gunman k**ls nine at an Oregon community college before k*****g himself after a gun battle with police.

July 2015: Gunman k**ls five at U.S. Navy Reserve center in Tennessee before being shot and k**led by police.

June 2015: Gunman k**ls nine people in South Carolina church before fleeing, is captured the following day. The gunman, Dylann Roof, was sentenced to death.

May 2015: Nine k**led in shootout between rival motorcycle clubs and police at Texas restaurant.

October 2014: Teenage gunman k**ls four teens, two of whom are his cousins, in Washington state high school before committing suicide.

September 2013: Gunman k**ls 12 people at a naval facility in Washington before dying in a gun battle with police.

December 2012: Gunman k**ls 26 adults and children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut before k*****g himself.

August 2012: Gunman k**ls six people at Sikh Temple in Wisconsin before committing suicide after being shot by police.

July 2012: Gunman k**ls 12 people during showing of a “Batman” movie in Colorado.

January 2011: Gunman k**ls six people and wounds U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona.

I think that's more than enough. No, we must not accept you as "handheld wireless peacekeeping devices," or please show how that heartless identity fits the above gun violence. Do you mean by peace eternal rest? You guys will never get how totally inhumane are your rabid support of murder and mayhem in America is. Your right to bear arms supersedes our children's safety? Look at all those lives lost. Damn it, look at them! A peacekeeping mission? That poster is beyond d********g, it mocks all those who died and lost loved ones. How can yo not see that?
