Democrats And The Rule Of No Law

Seeing that the Mueller investigation is not going to give them what they want the Democrat House is going to launch a "Obstruction of Justice" investigation into Trump. The rule of law in America says innocent until proven guilty, but the chairman of the committee launching the investigation has pronounced Trump guilty before the hearings even begin. They are going to subpoena as many witnesses as possible in the hopes of trapping one of them into saying something incriminating against Trump. It is more of the Democrat strategy of guilt by accusation that they have used many times. Whether Trump is guilty or not is irrelevant to them. They hope by either impeachment of a indictment driven by a partisan prosecutor in a heavily Democrat area to drive Trump from office or use an "October Surprise" in the 2020 e******n to cause him defeat. The Democrats are the party of the ends justifies the means philosophy and the rule of law and fairness be damned. They are rapidly becoming the party of the tactics of Hitler, Stalin, North Korea and every other evil regime. They are driven by h**e for their political enemies and will destroy them by any means necessary. America is in grave danger if they ever gain full power.

Seeing that the Mueller investigation is not going... (show quote)

Those who are investigating obstruction of justice has bitten off a large bite. It is not easy to 'prove' obstruction because the law is specific. "Someone obstructs justice when that person has a specific intent to obstruct or interfere with a judicial proceeding. For a person to be convicted of obstructing justice, that person must not only have the specific intent to obstruct the proceeding, but that person must know (1) that a proceeding was actually pending at the time; and (2) there must be a connection between the endeavor to obstruct justice and the proceeding, and the person must have knowledge of this connection." In all the people they bring in, someone has to say or documents show beyond doubt that our President had "intent." Just the fact of firing Cohen, that does not show intent and most probably will backfire on the accusers because the way our system is built.... and because who took his place (which the President had no input). Also, at the time Cohen was terminated, all we have been told is the President (Mr. Trump) was not under investigation. Bottom line, this will be another 'nothing' burger and will cost the taxpayer millions.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y is quoted as saying, "We are going to initiate investigations into abuses of power, into corruption and into obstruction of justice," Nadler said. "We will do everything we can to get that evidence."

Asked if he believed Trump obstructed justice, Nadler said, "Yes, I do."

Nadler isn't calling the inquiry an impeachment investigation but said House Democrats, now in the majority, are simply doing "our job to protect the rule of law" after Republicans during the first two years of Trump's term were "shielding the president from any proper accountability."

I think he will gain an invaluable education in the rule of law. Pure and simple, another witch hunt.

They are not after t***h, just anything to accuse Trump. Do not expect anything resembling fairness.

The last two years have proven your point. I used to think that we had a nation built on laws, a certainty of innocence until proven guilty, but that notion was abandoned by progressives and liberals when President Trump was elected. History is repeating itself. McCarthyism at the lowest form!

May I suggest that another term be used other than McCarthyism? Sen. Joe McCarthy was proven about 90% right when the Venona Papers were made available after the demise of the Soviet Union. The Democrats puppet will not be ever considered a valid and excellent choice for any job except as a barista in a place where the baristas are partly there as decoration.

No they don't! They prove Trump would like to see the investigation go away. They prove he thinks it is bogus. And none of which is obstruction.

The rule of law is not some rhetorical term, if Trump breaks the law he gets held accountable... the GOP can't defend him or refuse to investigate things... the AG and DOJ can't be used to defend him and cover things up, to appoint friendly people on his cases. The law is black and white and when you break it you pay.

What law did he break? What action did he take that broke the law?
