Gap, JCPenney, Victoria's Secret, Foot Locker: 465 store closures in 48 hours
Mar 2, 2019
Fox News Report

FOX NEWS - The 'retail apocalypse' is alive and well this week with major chains such as Gap, JCPenney, Victoria's Secret and Foot Locker all announcing massive closures, totalling the death of more than 465 stores over the last 48 hours.

All four companies reported its fourth quarter results this week during the critical holiday period, with three of them (Gap, JCPenney and Victoria's Secret) reporting declining in same-store sales, while Foot Locker reported growth that more than doubled expectations.

Still, despite the good news. Foot Locker announced Friday that it plans to close around 165 stores across the country, during its investor call.

That comes less than 24 hours after Gap announced it would close 230 of its namesake stores over the course of the next two years after the brand's same-store sales fell 7 percent during the holiday quarter. It also announced that it will separate its sister company Old Navy into its own publicly-traded company and create a new firm to house its remaining brands.

To top that off, earlier that day on Thursday, JCPenney announced it too will shutter 18 of its department stores this year, including the three it already announced in January.

Additionally, it said it plans to close nine of its home and furnitiure stores to coincide with its previous announcement to discontinue selling major applicances and furniture at all of its stores by the end of February.

However, Bob Phibbs, CEO of New York-based consultancy the Retail Doctor thinks JCPenney will be forced to announce more closures down the road.

“It is mind boggling that JC Penney still thinks they have time when the clock has run out and there’s no real plan. Closing 18 stores is barely a drop in the bucket of JC Penney’s more than 850 stores. If this was a big, bold effort to reinvigorate the brand, they would have announced they were closing hundreds of stores and investing in an outstanding experience at their other locations," Phibbs told FOX Business.

He added that JCPenney "still desperately" needs an inspiring vision for its brand as more and more customers head to Target, Walmart and Amazon.

Lastly, late Wednesday, L Brands' Victoria's Secret also reported its same-store sales fell during the holidays, dropping 3 percent and it will have to close 53 stores this year.

According to a Business Insider report, these announcements will bring the number of planned stores closures this year to well over 4,500.

I remember when the guy who founded Walmart... first came on the scene, I never thought that store would become the best of the best in years to come... he started with little of nothing ...such as a few tools, etc, and opened that store into STORES of wonders for his world of visions His ideal of the Wal Mart brand even surprised me... but other stores started closing making way for the Wal Mart brand..Read the book on Mr. WalMart.. can't remember if that was his whole name or what.. but it was a very good book.

Oh btw, can you please post a bigger better picture of what the dog is holding onto in the corner?
It’s fuzzy and I can’t make it out at all...

I’m very curious about that picture please.

Thank You,

It's a little doggie who was scared cause he was left alone...so the big doggie is holding the smaller one cause he was shaking so badly, and wanting him to over come his fears...It reminded me of a smaller child who was being mistreated at school by bullies and a protector hopped in to protect the little one. The picture should be called... "The Protector." Most times, we never know the sorrows of others till we are faced with it...

J C Penney had an excellent vision for their brand . . . up until they decided to lead off with homosexual advertising. Penney's had always been a wholesome family store up until that disastrous decision, which surprise, surprise was made by a homosexual. Who soon thereafter, left the position of CEO to look for greener pastures. People in general are sick and tired of these large corporations who feel they must bash us, the public, over the head with social issue, after social issue.

As our society breaks down, many individuals do not wish to go out in public to shop--you never know when some dope will shoot up the place. It would appear that it is safer to shop from the comfort and privacy of one's own home. My parent's did their shopping out of a Sears, or Wards catalog back in the 1950's. Just because "the Mall" became a great idea, it has outlived it's usefulness in our everyday world. People v**e with their dollars--and evidently we just do not want to reward retailers, for wh**ever our personal reasons may be.

Noted and agreed to all the above.
Yes it’s time for the new Technology and sites, Patriots, victims and activists to go after the Homosexuals who’ve mostly all preyed on young children and g***med plenty others
Raped them
Child abused them by compromising their sexual orientation
Harvesting them at the age of awareness or confusing them.

I pray hourly these forces go after every Homosexual on the planet and connect them to all those who they’ve abused...

Take them Down
Take them to Jail
Prosecute
Put em’ in Prison for child Rape

Spread the word the people will are finished with homosexuals and their Corporate hijacking.

Now we’re gonna turn it on it’s head.

Pennies has been on the ropes for year. If they are going to survive they have to come up with a plan that tops or at least come up to the standards of the big three. Victoria needs some thing to excite the brand its just not in as much demand anymore.

Some ten years ago a gentleman working at Sears was helping me with the computer to find a chipper shredder and he found a picture of 1 but could not get a larger picture of it. Picture was about twice the size of a postal stamp. And that was all the information I could get on the unit. Nothing in the store. And he told me the internet was going to k**l first the big stores and then everything all the way down to Main Street. Will be faced with a monopoly. Maybe after we are all chipped all we have to do is ask for what we need and it will magically show up. And it will be free. No cost to you. They just take 100% of your paycheck. We will all be the same. We will all wear the same clothes, or uniform. We will no longer have names just numbers. Welcome s***e I mean citizen to the Future!

Does anybody out there feel like we are under attack? I don't recognize my country anymore. Who did this to us? Those are the old questions. I think the answers to the new questions change before we can come up with the answer. We can support our smaller stores being Main Street and Mom and Pop stores. I support my local hardware store which has been around for about 50 years. They've been struggling for some time but are h*****g in there. Our current problems happen to be every social justice Warrior of every shape and size are attacking America from every angle. Leaving a cut to help bleed America dry and k**l it. The L**T community I believe wants to become the superior race. Along with any and every luciferian organization. Only He Who is faithful and true may walk over snakes and serpents. They are trying to tear America apart well we are trying to stitch it back together. Looks like we're infor a good Donnybrook.

I know that was just my interpretation of a stupid liberal. Maybe these liberals will just dive off a cliff like Lemmings into the sea. Upon realization of their uselessness towards Society.

From:
https://money.cnn.com/2018/01/10/news/economy/95-million-out-of-workforce/index.html

-- 94.6 million people above the age of 16 were out of the workforce.

Of those:

-- 44.5 million were retired.

-- 14.5 million were in school or job training.

-- 12.8 million were taking care of a loved one.

-- 15.3 million weren't working because of an illness or disability.

In all, of the 94.6 million not working, 87.1 million were retired, in school, taking care of a loved one or physically unable to work.

That leaves 7.5 million people. What about them?

Of those, 1.6 million had looked for a job in the past year or wanted a job but had given up searching for more than a year. And 5.9 million workers listed "other" as a reason for not wanting or having a job. We don't know much about these workers.
-------------------------------------------
It's wise to lookup more information about seemingly outrageous data.

Whattabuncha CRAP !
I saw this same exact report from years ago when we started this whole jobs sham.
This was already proven false by many sources doing the real investigative work.
Go to NumersUSA.com and see the real math
There are plenty of other sites also with better data.

You’re being lied to daily.
