A real national emergency...
Seems rather disingenuous to place blame on an individual when the problem existed long before he was in office...
Seems to me that Trump has made changes to benefit veterans... As have POTUS's in the past...
Perhaps the real solution would be to Quit sending your boys to places that Neither need nor welcome them...
And God bless veterans everywhere, and grant them His peace... Amen..
This is bazaar seeing how You h**e the United States.
You defend any and all outside dangers to America.
I heard that you use a walker, I'd like to be the man who kicks it out from under you two miles from your ghetto building.
No offense, good job
That would be just about 64,240 during the 8 years of the previous Administration, now wouldn't it?
So, you think it is a Trump issue. Be nice if you would ever check for factual statements before you open your mouth. "How many vets die from suicide?
In 2013, the VA released a study that covered suicides from 1999 to 2010, which showed that roughly 22 veterans were dying by suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes. Some sources suggest that this rate may be undercounting suicides."
And then look at PTSD which is a result of war for the most part. Which, is exactly what Trump is reducing by pulling troops out of wars with little meaning to USA citizens.
"What percentage of veterans suffer from PTSD?
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that PTSD afflicts: Almost 31 percent of Vietnam veterans. As many as 10 percent of Gulf War (Desert Storm) veterans. 11 percent of veterans of the war in Afghanistan."
And then, the best reporting on the issue comes from Stars and Stripes.

That problem isn't about what President Trump has done. It is about how the veterans were treated by the Obama administrations people put in charge of the VA. I believe that number is going down at this point in time. I was in the VA system before Obama took over and during the time of his administration our care declined to a minimum of service to all veterans. My PCP was the one that turned the tables on that system and started to bring it down, in Phoenix and elsewhere.
At the link I provided, it explains the reporting issue and work is now being done to correct it. But, the bottom line, war creates a greater issue. Horror is not good for the normal human mind. Same with family trauma etc.
"The report shows the total is 20.6 suicides every day. Of those, 16.8 were veterans and 3.8 were active-duty servicemembers, guardsmen and reservists, the report states. That amounts to 6,132 veterans and 1,387 servicemembers who died by suicide in one year.
The VA's 2012 report stated 22 veterans sucumbbed to suicide every day – a "
