Fox News legal analyst says Trump could be implicated in multiple crimes

Fox News judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano said that if a bombshell new report in The New York Times is accurate, President Donald Trump could be implicated in two crimes.
The newspaper reported Tuesday that the president called Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker to ask if a federal prosecutor perceived as an ally could be put in charge of the investigation into Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime personal attorney.

U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman of the Southern District of New York, a donor to Trump’s campaign who was given the job by Trump, had previously been recused from the investigation because of his links to the president.

Trump dismissed the report as “f**e news,” but Napolitano said it could spell trouble for the president if it turns out to be true.
“If the Times reporting is accurate, the phone call would be evidence of what?” Fox News anchor Shepard Smith asked.

“Corrupt intent,” Napolitano replied. “That is an effort to use the levers of power of the government for a corrupt purpose: to deflect an investigation into himself or his allies.”
He also said there’s a potential for charges of attempted obstruction of justice.
“It would only be obstruction if it succeeded,” he said. “But if you try to interfere with a criminal prosecution that may knock at your own door by putting your ally in there, that is clearly an attempt to obstruct justice.”

Napolitano called the Times report “dynamite, lengthy and well-documented.”
“Where it goes from here, I don’t know,” he said. “But I tell you who is reading it as we speak: Bob Mueller and team.” -----MORE------

While Treason would be great it may be easier to prove felony suborning of perjury and obstruction of justice. At this point just pick a bunch of charges and run him through the mill.

Why didn't you put the rest of the article in here BOB......"Rudy Giuliani, Trump's lawyer, told Fox News in a statement, "The President said today he had no such conversation with the Acting AG and I believe Mr. Whitaker issued a statement to the same effect. The rest of the piece is just a regurgitation of previously refuted obstruction theories. They all fail as obstruction because as Professor Dershowitz’s recent book and many other authorities make clear all of the alleged actions were within the President’s sole discretion under Article II of the US Constitution."

Unless proven otherwise...."Russian Collusion...redux"!!!!

I guess the "RUSSIAN COLLUSION" story has run out of steam, so pick a story, any story.... if it bleeds, it leads!

I've always said when faced with multiple choices go with the easiest one, the one that has the black and white definitions that were clearly violated...

to me this would be lying to the public, the violation of public trust, and pick an example where it is easiest to prove...which would be Stormy Daniels because it evolved through so many evolutions of lies that were proven to be lies in a relatively period. It seemed like as soon as he said something information came out that blew the lid off the lie, he would literally move on to an "okay, so that happened but...." defense of the lie, at which time he would tell the next lie.

Lying to the public, the violation of public trust, is an impeachable offense. This one was done in the public view starting with...
...having no affair with a porn star
...there was no NDA with the porn star he had the affair with
...he knew nothing about the payment for the NDA
...Cohen took care of it for him
...no campaign or foundation funds used

By black and white statutes he lied and it's impeachable

Manafort colluded
Stone colluded
Flynn colluded

There were sanctions to be lifted...deals to be made...and to think Trump knew nothing would be r****ded, Trump Moscow being an obvious. That would have been an illegal deal until sanctions were lifted, which would indicate the mother of all conflicts of interest considering how quickly Trump attempted to lift sanctions.

Another that gets no coverage but it should is the $500 Billion Exxon was to pay Putin

Flynn had a nuclear reactor deal that needed a sharing of technology that is patently illegal

Manaford was found guilty on 8 counts of bank and tax fraud. There was no Russian Collusion involved.

Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Flynn has had to sell his home to pay his legal bills during this process. His 33-year career serving our country seems to have meant little to the prosecutors trying to get him to turn on Trump. I had read several reports that his sudden decision last year to plead guilty and cooperate, was done to protect his son from being prosecuted. This is the type of prosecutorial overreach that borders on ethical violations. There was no Russian Collusion involved.

As to Roger Stone, "He is accused of hiding his second source, lying about having emails and texts that made some minor unanswered requests, and threatening the dog of his other source. Here is what Stone is NOT accused of lying about:

That he did not know in advance that Podesta’s emails had been hacked.
That he did not coordinate with WikiLeaks.
That he was never in touch directly with WikiLeaks during this time." Again, there is no Russian Collusion involved.
