SATIRE, By Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Calling it “maybe the worst deal ever,” Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that he is considering pulling the United States out of the United States Constitution.

“I’ve seen a lot of bad deals in my life, but this Constitution is a total mess,” he said. “We need to tear it up and start over.”

Trump was scathing in his remarks about the two-hundred-and-twenty-nine-year-old document, singling out for special scorn its insistence on three branches of government. “The branches thing is maybe the worst part of this deal,” he said. “The first thing we do when we pull out of the Constitution is get rid of two of those branches.”

He also called the First Amendment “something that really has to go.”

“No one in his right mind would put something like that in a Constitution,” he said. “Russia doesn’t have it. North Korea doesn’t have it. All the best countries don’t have it.”

He stopped short of accusing his predecessor, Barack Obama, of writing the United States Constitution, but said, “He’s working hard behind the scenes trying to save it, because he knows that the Constitution is very, very bad for me.”

Vowing to replace the Constitution with “a new, much, much better Constitution,” he acknowledged that there might be some elements of the original document worth salvaging. “We’re going to keep the Second Amendment,” he said, “and definitely the Fifth.”

Does not even qualify as satire. Just more ELWNJ ramblings. It is in reality the left that h**es the Constitution.

Satire about Donald Trump as he was running for President was pretty funny. Once he was elected, still funny. Now after a couple of years of being bashed by nearly every facet of mainstream media, entertainment, and all the rest, it's just getting tiresome. But as I said once before, the dead horse doesn't mind...keep beating it. Actually, for anyone who wasn't aware this was satire, the part about Obama "working hard behind the scenes to save it (the Constitution)" was a dead giveaway.

It would be hard to imagine how someone could not have picked up on the fact that it was SATIRE.

Well, the current Constitution is un-Constitutional so it makes sense.

Uh, what does that even mean? Are you saying you have issues with some part(s) of the current Constitution, or do you just want to be governed by some other set of rules? If it's the former, let's hear what you have to say. If it's the latter, why don't you consider emigrating to a country that governs more along the lines of what you believe rather than just trashing the document that provides over 300 million people with a roadmap to the free exercise of their rights. I'm oversimplifying a complex situation, but your comment does the same, so I'm not sure how we proceed.

It was a joke; Trump says the 25th amendment is un-Constitutional.

Sorry, I didn't make the connection. I believe what he did was misquote a tweet he made where he quoted Alan Dershowitz, who said regarding Andrew McCabe's comments “Trying to use the 25th Amendment to try and circumvent the E******n is a despicable act of unconstitutional power grabbing...which happens in third world countries. You have to obey the law. This is an attack on our system & Constitution.” Regardless, I understand your meaning now - thanks for the clarification.

The Constitution is interpreted by the interpretive principle "all men (and women) are created equal" and the Ten Commandments" of God are absolute and universal, not subject to change. Those elected lawmakers who use this principle to give adequate voice to the amendments will quit themselves worthy to say they hold to the desired notion that our "freedom" is because all men are innocent until proven guilty. No other society except our own has ever operated this way. This is why the "left" is an enemy to we who call ourselves "Americans." President Trump has done us the favor of exposing our formerly sub-surfaced enemy which used to be called "the party of s***ery" because our public schools had not yet been turned into "re-education and anti-family camps" to turn us against one another.
