House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy admitted to donors that trying to take healthcare away from people was a really bad idea.
The Washington Post reported:

Speaking privately to his donors, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy squarely blamed Republican losses in last year’s midterm e******ns on the GOP push to roll back health insurance protections for people with preexisting conditions — and in turn blamed his party’s right flank----MORE----

Republicans Realize Taking Away Healthcare Is A Bad Idea, But They’re Still Going To Do It Anyway

McCarthy can blame the Freedom Caucus, but the reality is that he and then-Speaker Paul Ryan backed the far right plan and a bill that had an uncertain future in the Senate. The Freedom Caucus wasn’t the House leadership, so the failure of 2018 belongs to the Republican House leadership and Donald Trump.
McCarthy’s comments never backed off of continuing to take healthcare away from people. The House Minority Leader said that it was a bad idea, but he didn’t say that House Republicans would stop trying to make sure that people had less healthcare that costs more m-----MORE----

Hey Bad Bob, just look at the bright side. You have any number of democratic p**********l candidates who are campaigning on platforms of Medicaid for all. Which is even better than Obamacare. And that's just for starters. There's also free college for all, open borders, c*****e c****e policies for even the most zealous tree-huggers, tax rates of 70% for the very rich, and a Green New Deal to eliminate airplanes, eliminate existing buildings, eliminate cow farts, etc. So you have a whole smorgasbord of policies to choose from to your heart's content.
We constitutional conservatives will just continue to pilgrim along with our current leader.

How do you eliminate cow farts without eliminating cows? Add Beanos to their diet?

Laugh away. Whether they want the label or not the Republican Party have acquired the face of “oh you want affordable health care? Well screw you...”

Dems keep fumbling the ball by drifting too far left in this matter but in the general they are at least perceived as trying to address the need.

Don’t know what country you live in but I have never heard anybody from any party advocate “open borders”.

Really?!?! What do you think Nancy Pelosi is talking about when she says walls are “immoral”?

And for your information, I live in that far-left country called California. Where i*****l i*********n is already a huge problem yet it continues in its asinine ways of being a sanctuary state.
Our new governor just pulled all the Calif. National Guard off the border just ahead of the next illegal invasion and sent them to help with fire-fighting duties - in the middle of one of our rainiest seasons in my memory.

My understanding is that the “immoral” tag refers to spending taxpayers money on an ocean to ocean wall that will not stop illegal drugs or i*****l i*******ts. I have also heard it references the reckless spending on a wall without a comprehensive immigration plan that could include provisions for vetted guest workers and a humane solution to DACA kids.

My understanding is that some National Guardsmen were left at the border after consultation with senior Guard officials.

I also understand that a good rant is juicier with a dash of hysteria and not too many inconvenient facts.

Your understanding leaves a lot to be desired, eden. No one is advocating a Great Wall of China. The FACT is that the Border Patrol, professional law enforcement agents who are on the ground dealing with this every damn day, say that a wall in some areas is a necessity. Of course, Congressional Democrats who probably require weekly re-training on how to tie their shoes think they are smarter than career law enforcement.
The largest percentage of wetbacks in this country are visa overstays, yet Congressional Democrat constantly block any attempt at a nationwide E Verify, or an end to chain migration, or an end to the ridiculous and quasi-legal practice of granting birth citizenship to the children of wetbacks.
Democrats want wetbacks legalized so they can v**e for Democrats. Wetbacks support Democratic candidates by nearly 100%. Among Latinos who respected our country's laws and became citizens the lawful way, that support level drops to around 45%. This probably explains why Democrats are in no hurry to give a badly needed hand to the million Mexicans who are waiting to become US citizens legally instead of waiting for some Liberal to gin up another amnesty.

No one lacks health care. Try rejecting a black or Hispanic at the emergency room for a runny nose? That's a 20 to life offense. No one is denied health care.
They may be denied health insurance, which is a totally different thing.
Black and sick? Your all good to go for free. Been that way long before obamacare.

I admire your independence.
Ain't a horse within 50 miles of where I live so I got to use the fancy doctors who are 50 years younger than I am and they tell me how to live.
