It seems that the rise of destructive behavior ,and backward thinking is taking a serious toll.
Something odd is going on .I can't imagine people have always been this fraked up.
Based on how quickly it spreads ,could it even be contagious?

A good, and accurate, post! I spent time in NYC, Chicago, Detroit, and along the east coast in the 1950’s through the 1980’s and the difference in the air, and water, quality is stunning! The movement that became the church of environmental shaming achieved stunning success but is now simply funding a different campaign using the banner of environmentalism!

Very good explanation of one of the major causes of c*****e c****e. Another shorter term cause in the hundreds of years vs the tens of thousands of years is sun spot activity. When the current wobble cycle began in 2012, were were also just entering a deep solar minimum (low sunspot activity). Thousands of solar flares were experienced on a monthly basis inundating the earth with solar energy during the previous maximum. In 2018, we had less than a dozen most months. These events have coincided with Pacific Ocean temperatures falling, ice caps expanding, and this winter with far more and deeper cold spells than has been the average. Yet the c*****e c****e supporters still want to attribute the cold weather, rise in ocean temps, and increase in polar caps to the increase in carbon emissions, and discount any natural cause. Funny that when Al Gore was touting his book, increased carbon emissions were suppose to make the world warmer. Carbon emissions have increased dramatically in the past few years, while global temperatures have decreased!

Thank you all for these informative and clearly written posts. This brings me more information that I can use in some of my discussions I have with some of my more naive and credulous associates. I have been a big believer in c*****e c****e. My issue has been what is the actual driving force and why do people have the hubris and arrogance to think that we could change it deliberately and if we did start to change the earths climate what makes them think it would be for the better. I have asked several of them, “what makes you think that what we have for climate right now, right this day, is optimal. What if we had some g****l w*****g and increased C02 and the deserts started greening up and we had tens of thousands of square miles that were useable again?” I usually get yelled at and dire warnings about some vague doomsday thing where everyone is going to die. Quite frankly, if the earth needed to remove humans, it’s going to happen whether we want it to or not. The main problem I’m having is the people saying we need to do this or that or we’re all going to die are proposing “solutions” that would result in widespread poverty and loss of freedoms with no discernible gains. It also seems to involve a lot of giving money and power to people who really like money and power who don’t seem to be inclined to give up any of their own comforts and privileges but require the unwashed masses to give up theirs. I approach the majority of c*****e c****ers as if it was a religion because that’s what it seems to be for them.

Those ones are just lava pushers over a hot spot which migrates as the continents shift. The west coast and Yellowstone caldera are the ones to watch. Yellowstone is a giant one which could alter the entire planet.
