I Like Me

As I've reached a certain age, I've decided I Like me.

My joints are stiff and move with pain
The sands have sifted, my hair's turned grey.
My breath is labored, my heart's too fast,
But I've reached a place where I'm free at last.

I can speak my mind, tell you how I feel
Cause I have decided how I feel is real.
I've experienced life, absorbed its blows
But came out fighting, cause as you know
Its not the end that I'm thinking of
It's the fact I've lived, I'm thrilled about.

Marriage, children, work and play
My heavenly Father to whom I pray

There's plenty more I need to do
But I've been there friend, walked in someone's shoes
I can share my experiences, can feel your pain,
Pass on wisdom learned through out my life
And tell you friend, put down all strife.

Cause life is fleeting, time drifts away,
Tomorrow isn't here yet, and may never come.
So speak against evil, sing praises for each blessing.
Cause this life we live, Is His for the taking.

I like me, the person I've become,
Tolerant of others, yet stick to my guns,
Knowing that lessons yet to be learned
Must be shared with others as I journey on.

The goodness in me is from Him above
Not of my doing, but given with love
Meant to be shared with my fellow man
Not hidden, put away, sealed in a can
But shouted quite loudly, "He is the great I am!"

By His grace I'm given a time on earth
To tell of His greatness, His holy birth
How He loved us so much He died for our sins
How if we believe, we'll go live with Him!

So, yes I like me, how about you?
Are you now the person that you can be friends with too?

As I've reached a certain age, I've decided I Like... (show quote)

You can't die for some woman's sins, for a start there is far too many of them, the quicker you died for the ones popping up there would be heaps more appearing, I calls it the allurements produced by a kangaroo court where the woman's never considered to be a wrong doer.

I buried a kangaroo yesterday, and truely he died for my sins, this is a true story.

This young buck, him and his GF, was always hopping where kangaroos are not supposed to be, in my fenced off areas, so I chase them out by throwing stones, mostly the young buck would bust through the pig wire fence and his GF not being so brave would still be trapped inside me throwing stones .

The Young Buck would never just run away and would stay by her on the opposite side of the fence.

But the day before yesterday he tried to crash down a really rigid gate, I think they both panicked because I accidentally caught them by suprise, anyway he went unconscious I sprayed him with water but in the morning I had to bury him the GF is OK.

But I don't need saving because I throw stones at kangaroos it's too late for that.

That's crazy.

Also sin is only to do with wrong and right Divinity doesn't have a problem with sin as it all comes out in the wash, Heaven or hell, Utilitarianism has it that it that the greatest good for the greatest number is the ticket to Heaven and TR Malthus predicted what has now come about the greatest number is the damnation for everything on earth.

I like me most of the time. Sometimes I fail me but I’m unafraid for me. It’s the generations that follow me I’m afraid for. The radicals in my well loved country are growing in number and it’s sickening.

I'm with you Carol. I like me all the time because I'm no longer in a hurry and will hold up traffic to let someone in as long as they pay attention and go when I signal. That's the way I roll with just about everything anymore. To me, life's too short to get through it in a rush. Happy Valentine's to you. Mike
