Hosea chapter 8

Verse 1

There are more scriptures predicting Israel’s downfall in Hosea than in any other book. When prophecy is fulfilled it becomes history. If the word of God was accurate about the past, we can have confidence that what it says will happen, will happen. God is about to bring the pain because we are violating His law. We are being taught God’s word, by those that don’t understand God’s word.
Verse 2 - 4

Before the children of Jacob would receive the 10 commandments, they made a golden calf and gave it credit for everything God did. When Israel first split from Judah, Judah stayed more loyal to the true God than Israel. Jeroboam, Israel’s first king, started Israel worshipping another golden calf. Israel never worshipped the true God. No king of Israel put a stop to this foolishness.

Verse 5 and 6

God rescued the children of Jacob before the calf was made. It was stupid to make an idol, and give it credit for everything God did. God hates the shedding of innocent blood. It is stupid to lift up blood stained hands and worship God, but not obey Him. The blood of 70 million children is on America’s hands.

Verse 7 and 8

One seed can produce thousands of seeds. We should consider the consequences before we speak and act. Israel never worshipped God. Soon, they would lose everything they had.

Verse 9 and 10

God is more offended at seeing His children worship idols, as a man watching his wire kiss another man, who has done nothing for her. Idolatry made Israel stupid. Because we no longer honor our fathers, we now have little boys doing dances thinking they are going to grow up and be something other than a man. Gender cannot be chosen. I have seen a man in a wig and a dress read stories to children. I don’t know how the parents felt. We have lost our minds. God is in control. If America becomes socialist, decent people will leave. The government has limitations. They may take my piano, but they cannot take my ability to play piano

Verse 11 and 12

God first gave His law to the children of Jacob. Nobody read it or applied it to their lives. Jezebel used it to get someone to falsely accuse a man, kill him, take the man’s land and give it to her husband.

Verse 13

There is scriptural reference for animal sacrifice, even though God did not accept them. There is no scriptural reference for pastors dancing on money. I know God ain’t in that.

Verse 14

Assyria would take all of Israel, and the fenced cities of Judah. They might have taken Jerusalem if it wasn’t made known that the Assyrians saw no difference between God and idols.
