Conservatives have said for years that California's High Speed Train was a typical Liberal boondoggle. Finally California after wasting $ CaBillions and $ CaBillions on the choo choo from hell, is finally throwing in the towel.

Come on Liberals, tell me again how freaking smart the Democratic Peoples Republic of California is. A state run by morons, for the benefit of morons. Nancy Pelosi's home state.

Didn't it have cost over runs and an accident in 2011 ?

Many cost over runs... They have recuped them...

Accidents happen...

I can now get from my city up north near the Russian border in nine hours and only pay about 80 dollars for it....
My daughter rides free...
Once the government recupes the expense for the new line to my city the price will drop even more...

Excellent system...

The difference is, China used the money to build
the train system, not disperse the money to politicians
then demand more!

So the Chinese are smarter than Californians ? Granted the Chinese likely did not run into as many legal and environmental challenges, and I am guessing they did not have to deal with as much existing developed land and infrastructure in the way of their proposed routes ?

Yep. Instead of 'borrowing' money from the Feds, they'll get it for free.
That train will sure do a lot of good for the folks in Iowa who helped pay for it, eh?

I think, since Canuck says the Chinese train is doing so well, we should get them to finance it and forget to tell them that it will be FREE to ride...Oops.
