Thank you olde phart. How are you doing these days? Keep that dip in your hip and the glide in your stride. A young mind in our old bodies keeps us sunny side up huh? Keep the faith!

If you didn't see the picture as an attack on the first lady then evidently your grasp of the obvious is lacking and if you find no difference between homosexuality and normal, natural sexual relations then you might lack the ability to differentiated between virtue and vice. I might caution that one should not be so "open minded" that their brains fall out! I might also remind you that the denial of moral absolutes leads to nihilism. Nihilism is the belief that there is no moral absolute truth, that all truth is relative. But you can certainly believe anything you want.

I don't go through life looking to be triggered...
Or slinging insults at others for having different views...
I am sure there are moral absolutes...
I am less sure that they are recognized by the majority of people...
So many of us lack the ability to differentiate between virtue and vice...

Evidently you're not sure of many things and may explain why you can't be "triggered" on views that are right or wrong. If one does not know the difference between virtue and vice, right or wrong, good from evil what use are they to any civilized society? The answer is they make good Progressives which are of no use to any civilized society.

I know my definition of the terms...
And I apply them to myself and those who interact with me...
I also attempt to understand their definitions...
At times we disagree... Civily... And with respect for one another....
Believing that my definitions are the absolutes in terms of correctness would be a great sin...
Pride goes before a fall and so on and such...
I can assure you that while Paul and I may disagree on some issues, up to and until he is incivil with me I will continue to respect his (very well written) opinions and ideas...
If you believe that I am a Progressive I am just tickled... Would be like me calling you a Buddhist...

So to you, San Francisco isn't morally debased like Sodom and Gomorrah?
Or do you ignore such behavior, so that it doesn't exist in your opinion.
Discernment is in no way judgement.

I still retain enough passion in my old age to not respect any individual who is not worthy of that respect based on traditional American values, morality, character, spirituality, and not my own personal opinions. I don't believe you could contribute anything to the Progressive agenda or philosophy anymore than you could to the conservative inasmuch as you would more than likely be weak in either camp. The middle of the road is a comfortable resting place for those three monkeys who neither see, hear or speak of evil.

I have never been to San Francisco...
Do they rape every man who spends a night there?
Is the entire city truly evil?
Not a single innocent...
For Shame...
Yes... I would certainly judge them...
