My wife, and I have shared more than one meal with him, and find him to be a good man. A very good man. We disagree on a lot, but have mutual respect, and understanding for, and of each other.

If you had followed me more closely, you would have run across this of mine, as I've posted it several times recently: "I will repeat what I have stated on OPP many times. I regard myself as a moderate or centrist leaning more left than right, but not exclusively. However, due to my often eclectic views and having been labeled both many times by family and friends, I am not surprised or alarmed or when viewed as either liberal or conservative."

Insofar as Mr. Frost is concerned, his death in January of 1963 assures me that we were both teenagers at the time, and likely lacking the depth and breadth of knowledge in mind or of character to be capable of forming such an opinion of Robert Frost as you seem to profess from having met the man...once? Does that assessment possibly originate from others' written or stated opinion(s) of Frost?

I'm certain that his legacy as 'America's Poet Laureate', the winner of four Pulitzer Prizes for Literary Achievement (Hmmm...others appreciated his writings?) and winning the Congressional Gold Medal is secure. I'll toss in that he was invited by John Fitzgerald Kennedy to be the guest speaker at JFK's 1960 P**********l Inauguration. That was the same inauguration that featured JFK's famous line, "And, so my fellow Americans...Ask not what your country can do for you...Ask what you can do for your country." As I recall watching the ceremonies, Robert Frost recited his poem, 'The Gift Outright,' at that event.

Your caustic posts leads me to wonder if your opinion of Robert Frost is based on perhaps traveling life's journey on 'The Road Less Taken'.

Couldn't quite grasp my ideological stance, huh? More simply put: I'm no ideological purist. You should try crawling out'ta your ideological bubble/safe-place and view life through corrective lenses.
