hese 3 new congressmen, Jim Baird, Republican from Indiana , lost his left arm in Vietnam . Brian Mast, Republican from Florida , lost both legs in Afghanistan . Dan Crenshaw, Republican from Texas , lost his right eye in Afghanistan . All three of these men are Purple Heart recipients. How often have you seen them on the evening news?

Now that you mention it never. I guess that the MSM is ashamed of these men because they never ever have them on and the should be putting these men on in front of the Dick Durbin and that ilk. It is just my opinion but that is the way that I see it.

I guess it is because Representative Crenshaw is from just north of me that I have seen him a number of times. But, in knowing next to nothing about the other two, this is the first I recall seeing them. Generally speaking, Veterans don't talk about their experiences, except with other Vets.

Good for all of 'em, and for the country they serve

Several years ago we became aquainted with a man who claimed that he lost his right leg and eyesight in one eye in Vietnam and used that as an excuse every time he did not do what he had promised he would do on any project he was involved in. All of us were tolerant of his shortcomings because of that. Then we learned the t***h from a police officer who was aquainted with the man. Turns out that he had lost the leg and eye in a drunk driving accident because he was totally intoxicated and he k**led a pedestrian . That was the only time in my life I was really glad I was not carrying a gun, or I would have shot the bastard DEAD..
