Isaiah chapter 48

Verse 1 - 3

There are some that profess that they are Christians, but don’t act like it. Read Titus 1:16. Everything that will happen has been said already, in the bible. But we won’t tie the scripture with the event until it has happened already. The old testament predicted how Christ would die, that soldiers would gamble for His clothes, the words out of the mouths of the Pharisees. Still it was a surprise when it happened. Jesus says take up your cross and follow me. We don’t obey anything He says, but think we have a relationship with Christ, listening to people who never followed Christ and don’t understand what they teach. Having listeners profess themselves to be sinners, without knowing what they did that was a sin. Some confess things that aren’t sins, to a man who has sex with boys.

Verse 4 - 7

God can read our minds. He declared the end from the beginning, but we should study scripture to know. Satan has deceived the entire world into believing man can control the weather and gender can be chosen. God is in control and His will will be done. What He has said will happen, will happen. If it ain’t happened yet, it will happen later.

Verse 8

If you want to fight dirty, let God fight your battles. He can have you see what is not there, believe what ain’t true, not see what is there, doubt what makes sense. The thoughts in our minds are in the hands of the supernatural. I like to fight dirty. I wait on God until He does His will. I enjoy seeing my enemies destroy themselves.

Verse 9 - 11

Good times and laughter don’t teach us anything and don’t shape our character. You won’t raise good kids that are responsible adults habitually taking them to fancy restaurants and amusement parks.

Verse 12 - 15

The bible should be taught chapter by chapter and verse by verse. God created the heavens and the earth and all life in both. We should listen to Him. He has every right to tell us how to live the life He gave us. It is an insult to God for Him to ask His creation to listen to Him. 200 years before he was born, God ordained Cyrus to accomplish His work in destroying Babylon and allowing the Jews to return back to Jerusalem.

Verse 16 and 17

If we put God first, we would lead better lives. God says in Leviticus 18:22 that men should not have sex with men. Our desires should line up with God’s word.

Verse 18 and 19

Things could have been so much better. We elect a government that gives our money to foreigners so they can stay in office and become millionaires making secret dishonest deals.

Verse 20 - 22

For forty years, God led the children of Jacob through the wilderness, giving them manna to eat and water to drink. He was a cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night. He will always care for the children of Jacob.
