And you are allowed your beliefs. Do you believe the teaching curriculum is teaching
enough American history? I understand that they are following a prescribed teaching agenda. The problem is, Who is writing the agenda?

I don't live or teach in the US, so I am not qualified to answer this question...

I am aware that Canada is failing to teach both history and civics at a level that I (personally) would find acceptable...

All societies have agendas... It is important to monitor and revise materials and subject matter as we progress...

You are right. The agenda in the U.S. seems to be going, or leading, in the same historyless teaching and more to the socialist theories. Religion is a teaching no no, unless it is teaching the tenets of Islam in the form of history. The percentage of liberal professors and teachers to conservative is staggering. The number of conservative speakers allowed to appear compared to libels is also very unequal.
This has been a long standing plan of socialism. Get control of children’s minds and the rest will fall in place.

An educator's political leanings should never influence their teaching... Easier said than done, admittedly...

Students should be exposed to all types of speakers and ideologies (age appropriate)...

Socialism is a socio-political ideology that has no place in the classroom other than as a topic of discussion and debate...

Personally I would have all major religious ideologies (Especially the three Monotheistic Abrahamic religions) taught (not Proselytized) in the school system so as to give young individuals (and some older) a more expansive and factual understanding of the various faiths and cultures of our world...

I find it grossly negligent that so many young folk in Canada (and perhaps the US) have little to no understanding of their own history...
But in this day and age that responsibility must also lie with the parent(s) of said children...

Absolutely (and frighteningly) true...
As a species we can certainly focus on what makes us different as opposed to what makes us the same...

It is a great tragedy that the young pay for the errors of their elders... And so often with hearts aglow with p***e...

True wisdom is almost never found as a collective... It exists in individual form... But is rarely found in groups of more than 5-6... Too many disenting opinions and viewpoints...
