1) her comment was that high-speed rail would make air travel unnecessary--making something unnecessary is not the same thing as eliminating it--and her suggestion isn't feasible anyway.
2) I saw nothing that suggested she wanted to get rid of cars. This would suggest that she is opposed to electric cars which would qualify for her green initiative.
3) we have a progressive tax system. Her suggestion was to bring back a 70% tax on incomes of over 10 million dollars. It's the portion OVER 10 million that would be taxed at 70%, not the entire sum, and if Nancy can't live on 10 million a year then I have very little sympathy for her suffering.
4) Why are you taking a single 27-year-old woman so seriously? She isn't the entire government and any legislation has to go through the house, then the Senate, and finally be signed by a president. Those are a lot of steps which begs the question of just why you people are in such a panic over a sex whom you would normally dismiss?

She is taken seriously by many because they know that a lot of liberal followers do not look past the end of their noses before jumping on the bandwagon of socialism. Anyone, who followed the career of Hillary over the years, with the blatant lying and corruption, and still v**ed for her to run this country, are not to be trusted to use common sense with anything else. I don't know how old you are, PeterS, but if you're a millennial you can be forgiven for being so ignorant. As they say, "If you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative when you're older, you have no brain."
As a former flaming lib when I was in my 20s I was gung-ho in my beliefs. As I got older and matured I became more conservative. Today, I'm as gung-ho for conservatism as I was for liberalism in my youth.

Your statement that the Republican agenda only benefits 1% of the country sounds like a talking point from CNN, or know-nothing Don Lemmon. Ignorant and stupid. Only competition brings down the price of goods and services. And that means the government stays out of the equation. As soon as the government gets into an industry there's no more competition. And without competition, prices go up and the quality of services declines.
Why do you think the cost of college education exploded exponentially in the last few decades? Answer: because government got involved.
When I was growing up everyone had the same phone. A black AT&T landline phone, usually with several other people on your party line. Once competition opened up as a result of an anti-trust lawsuit against AT&T things began to change overnight. Consider your choices today. Virtually limitless choices of cell phones. Today's must-have cell phone will be outdated tomorrow. Only competition does that.

Older liberals who refuse to accept the facts are simply more strongly aligned to liberalism than to reality. Their talking points are easily disapproved but they persist in their liberalism and wear it as a badge of honor. Not by Pelosi which means AOC can talk all she wants but her bills are DOA. As for who is qualified to make decisions in my life if Pelosi can handle Trump then I don't think she is going to have any problems handling anything else. The next two years the only thing Democrats can do is hold Trump's feet to the fire and stall his agenda. If the new AG doesn't squash the Mueller report and it shows Trump a t*****r then I expect them to impeach him other than that I have no other expectations...
