The language that AOC, Bernie S, and other so-called Socialist Democrats are speaking is no different than the young people were speaking when I was in college. Soak the rich was the theme of the liberals of the 50's and 60's just as it is now. There is no difference. I can't believe that they are still trying to find a way to make Socialism work. It has never worked and we can see examples of Venezuela, N Korea, USSR, and many other countries in which it has been proven to be a disaster. The thought of all those people who have acquired wealth is evidently too much of a temptation to resist. I think the big problem is that instead of teaching the effects of Socialism vs Capitalism, today's profs are the liberals of the 60's and 70's and they are indoctrinating instead of fairly presenting all views with their resulting consequences. I just hope there is an awakening soon or this Country will cease to exist.

Liberals h**e actual work so they are always for having people who do work pay their bill for them. Keep in mind that the majority of liberals do not pay any federal taxes at all. This will destroy this country as more and more people just give up and join them on their free ride. Remember the saying that socialism only works until you run out of other people's money.

If they were as smart as they think they are they would understand that it is not capitalism that failed them, it is instead government imposed socialism which is k*****g capitalism. This generation hasd grown up on Harry Potter and beleive in magic. A O'C is a prime example, everything free, just wave your wand and it will be stolen from somewhere else.

That may show that a wide majority of poll respondents have no more of a clue than you do. People with that kind of money have most of it in tax shelters. Do you and your "majority" actually think that wealthy people pay taxes on ALL their money? Even during the fifties, when the tax rates were around 90% for some, most of the truly wealthy had their money in shelters so thoughtfully provided by the Democrats. Do you think a politician is going to screw his campaign contributions?

People who favor this kind of taxation point to the halcyon days of the fifties when we had such huge economic growth and a top tax rate approaching 90%. They ignore the fact that these same people were taxed at such a high rate on only a fraction of their income, the rest of it being tucked away in IRS proof tax shelters thoughtfully provided for large campaign contributors. If you have a thousand bucks, and $990 of it is untaxable, who cares about the other 10 bucks?
