He didn't close it but he is being blamed because of his statement that he will be proud to own the closing, he ether doesn't understand the actual powers that President has or is actually using it to gain points with his base. Everyone who dosen't have an understanding about the limits of members of govenment are willing to give more credit to those members. Which allows the same to exercise more power then the office may have. Which in turn allows people to attach blame the individuals in the office.

SINCE HE REFUSES TO LISTEN to people who know the rules, then he is NOT FIT to lead this country. His actions are those similar to my 2 year olds over tired and screaming. Not for a grown man who willingly and with forethought seriously hurt thousands of American citizens and many small businesses by having a tantrum. He has NO specific plans on HOW to use the billions he has requested for the wall - he cannot fathom that drones and more people on the ground are truly the answer. Since he refused to sign a bipartisan bill that would not have closed the government, and after it closed told McConnell that he would veto anything they did that didn't have his money for the wall...

...thereby giving McConnell the message not to v**e on a bill that would have easily passed with veto proof numbers.

It is Trump's fault, and McConnell's more because he could have stopped it if he weren't running shade for Trump.

He didn't shut down the the government the Congress and the Senate do because they couldn't come together on a spending bill for the next year and they wouldn't v**e for his border wall and 5.7 million out of a 1.5 trillion dollar spending bill is peanuts but the no borders crowd in both the Democratic and Republican party along with the Koch brothers and the Chamber of Commerce are doing everything they can to keep Trump from getting his border wall well I say you know what if he doesn't get it's time to declare a national emergency and you can just sit there and listen to the Democrats whine when he does it I'm tired of playing with these Yahoo's

That's right, the House holds the 'purse strings'. Who controls the House controls the flow of funds and ultimately controls the activities in the executive (or lack thereof).

"The Congress shall have Power... To provide for the common Defence..."

The House originates the money, the Congress makes the laws, and the Executive makes it happen. If the House does not originate the funds, it doesn't happen. If the Senate does not concur, it does not happen. If the President objects and vetoes a piece of legislation, it is returned to the Congress where they are obliged to pass it with a 2/3 majority to override the veto, or it does not happen.

So yeah, go ahead an 'blame' whomever you like, it takes all three legs to keep that stool upright.

ICE was created with no assigned duties... it would be very easy to remove ice as a cost cutting operation for smaller Government and the work would simply return the same agency as before the wild increase in cost to us taxpayers..

I will say that to a degree I am upset by some of them also..

Taxes... one of my most acute complaints... I just before Christmas had to pay some extra tax and interest for 2014... Not a great deal but it truly PO for weeks..

but do you think for a second that the answer to that is any program of spending and cuts that creates a huge increase in our national dept? that has to be paid, at least the interest, which is on the way up..

So near 2 trillion was added in two years by a man who pledged to bring it down..

I also do not see the migration of people to America and in Europe to be the same.. Mid easterners fleeing war and destruction may well bring in radicals in the relative short distance to France, Italy other nations
For the United States most of the current movement is from crime dominated countries without and economy remaining for those who wish to work.. the Caravans have been primarily families, women, kids and men who may be husbands or not.. I have not seen that the majority are men. even while males may want to be seen in photos and videos more then women and their kids. I do not think we see the radicals that slip into Europe..

It is a long and costly road for any terrorist to find a way to our nation via central america and mexico..

in like manner, we would not agree on much you post but some of that is a matter of degree.. I do not see you as all wrong..
