Slatten and Bahmer go fishing...
Jan 21, 2019 05:27:53   #
Canuckus Deploracus Loc: North of the wall

Feeling bored and finding themselves with time on their hands, Slatten and Bahmer decide to give fishing a try... So they hopped into their trucks and drove to the nearest lake... Realizing that they were without gear or boat they inquired at the local bait shop as to where they might procure said necessities...

The owner (a fellow by the name of Bad Bobby...Rather good looking fellow...Although a bit trusting...He accepted IOUs from Slatten in lew of cash...) set them up with the works and helped them choose a boat that wouldn't rewuire to much technical expertise...(Marines make excellent rowers)... Then he bid the a goid day and much luck fishing...

After finding a rather likely looking spot Slatten and Bahmer cast their lines... (only took them a few dozen tries... Marines are quick learners)... And settled down to fish...

Much to their surprise they began to pull in fish after fish... In fact they needed only drop the line over the side of the boat to hook a fish...Within an hour they had both caught their limit... Realizing they were thirsty and not having brought any beer (newbies... What can one say?) they set off for the bait house...

Upon arrival they were greeted by Bad Bobby.. (who also had no beer... But is forgiven as he is a whiskey drinker)... Badbobby was quite shocked and impressed by their luck... So much so that he inquired as to whether they could remember the spot...

While Slatten looked quite sheepish... Bahmer happily exclaimed that he had made an X on the boat...

To which Slatten replied...

"Fool... What if we don't get the same boat!"

seems like you have the duo pegged Canuck
however methinks you could have given me a larger part
like maybe their engine wouldn't start and they got caught in a storm
and I had to go save them from drowning by swimming to where they were adrift(since all my boats had been rented)
I really feel that would be more interesting

At 92 aren't you limited to the kiddie pool? If you tried to save us all you would have got was wet and we would have had to pull you to shore.
