See why we can't have this conversation? I say a wall works as a deterrent to the problem. This is backed by BP and other personnel, both high-level and in the field. You respond with:
- A meme that talks about dealing with Saudi Arabia before Mexico (diversion)
- "The caravans that scare the right are people seeking refugee status, they are not trying to invade." (diversion)
- When I counter with the fact that technically, they aren't refugees - "Ninety percent get rejected by the judge and sent back home, trump is just using this as a scare tactic." (Your diversion sort of works, so you press it)
- When I explain that due to the porous border, the judicial system has been overwhelmed - "trump, instead of having more judges, he has less, to handle this." (we're way off topic)

You've said nothing to refute that a wall/fence/barrier wouldn't be an effective deterrent - because it would be. And I simply don't believe that with all the Veterans in the US in dire situations (on the street, dealing with mental issues) you think we somehow owe i*****l a***ns resources that could be used to help them as well as our other poor Americans. I simply don't believe that you feel that way.

Trump is a businessman. Trump isn't an architect. He hires those. We know that there will not be an uninterrupted wall across the border. We analyze the border traffic. Then we build barriers in areas that will redirect the border crossers to locations that have the resources to deal with them. A perfect solution? Of course not. But if we can slow down the numbers and force more of them to the official border crossing sites, we can get a handle on things. Until we do this, it's impossible to work on things like E-Verify, asylum, proper vetting, DACA, unaccompanied minors, anchor babies, chain-migration, etc.

The vetting process is delayed by the obstructionists in the government. Why would he rush to have more judges? Many that are in place now are liberal and anti anything President Trump wants to do. just look at all the injunctions the courts have imposed on anything he has tried to implement to protect our country when it comes to immigration issues. If he tries to appoint a "constitutionalist" it turns into a defamation of character hearing by the dems. More judges is just another band aid and not a fix. The message that sends, is hurry up and get to the border and get your asylum hearing before you can't invade the US.
