The shameful thing is that whenever she visits she makes sure there is a six-pack in the fridge for me...

I had a mother-in-law who threatened me with a knife. It pissed her off to the nth degree that I essentially didn't drink so she couldn't accuse me of being like "My Kind" who are notorious wine bibblers. Especially when I reminded her that it was "Her Kind" who were notorious for having swollen, red, Achoholic's noses. Three of her brothers and her other son-in-law all sported those schnozes for the same reason, too much booze.

BB, I worked a bar in Annapolis Md. in the 70's in between jobs racing ocean sailboats. Had this rail thin black woman, very pretty and probably 50 years old, come in on Wednesdays around 1800 and order Scotch and Milk on short ice. She'd have three in about a hour and a half and leave.

Never could strike up a conversation with her. She just wanted to take time to herself and have her three Scotch and Milks. Mike

I have never acquired a taste for alcohol, but my employees love Grandpaws secret corn squeezing and prefer it over even Jack Daniel's they claim it is smoother and have no hangover the next day.

I do know they save lots of money making the legal limit allowed by law. I believe the longest it has EVER aged was a little over a month when they forgot where they hid a couple Fifths.

The men mostly all would disagree. They think Grandpaws secret corn squeezing in better tasting and needs only a few hours aging.

But ex-military are known to drink almost anything intoxicating and swsre it's the best. Even our local Sheriff tries to buy a couple fifths on occassion. The men just give it to them thinking he may be trying to entrap them for selling homemade whiskey.

Most ex-military are drinkers, some heavy drinkers and we've had a few down right alcoholic.

But most prefer Grandpaws secret corn squeezing because they don't have bad hangovers.
