Agreed!

I’ve often said that we could solve nearly all, if not all, problems with our politicians, no matter party affiliation, if they were held responsible for their lies (and particularly their campaign promises). Imagine if Obama was held financially responsible for saying you could keep your doctor? The mind boggles. Imagine if he’d said, “we hope you can keep your doctor, but it’s nit likely.” He would be off the hook, but, Would he have been able to sell it with that much t***h?

What we need to do, collectively, is hold our own politicians accountable. Until and unless we negate this culture that “politicians lie”, we’ll be stuck with what we get.

It’s like our politicians have their own unwritten Taqiyya: they can say anything at all if it works to get them in office or keep them in favor of the people. This mindset has got to end, or our country is just a lie.

You've made a good point here, Obama spoke out of a misassumption, he had assumed they could have, never seeing what was about to unravel, though he did try and explain it afterwards, no one against the ACA wanted to hear it, they wanted to believe he intentionally lied. With that said you are correct, he should have gone more cautiously and said something more in the vein of what you said, or have mentioned now that there are standards in place, we shall see what policies will be valid and credible and which ones will fall. He then also should have an outcome in place if that were to happen. We all learn lessons.

Yes, agreed politicians should be accountable for intentionally lying to the public, after all, it is deception in a public office.

The opinion of an educated Canadian conservative should be interresting.

It seems to me that Trump is finally standing up to the opposition and not backing down! Finally! Trump has a titanium backbone! At long last!!
We've always had politicians who see that backing down in the face of opposition wins them approval from the opposition. Big Woop!

Presidents since before Kennedy have been talking about getting a border wall on our southern border. Reagan wanted one so badly that he allowed himself to be suckered in by the opposition party that if he would just grant amnesty to the 8 million or so i******s here, (not sure of the exact number) they'd give him the border wall. Well, he granted them amnesty but he never got the wall. He said it was his biggest regret!

Obama's apology tours made us a laughingstock and accomplished nothing but to have scorn and derision heaped on us. Obviously he didn't think that the US was the last best hope for man on earth or he wouldn't have wanted to fundamentally change it. And his red line in the sand evaporated when challenged by strongmen. What a wimp!

Trump's take-no-prisoners attitude is exactly what we need after the conga line of milquetoast, spineless politicians who have done nothing to advance our cause of freedom. Freedom isn't free! And freedom has many enemies, both foreign and domestic.
It seems to me that Trump is finally standing up t... (show quote)

Walt: I see it that way a well.

Could not agree more!!!!

I must say President Trump had stayed true to his campaign promises but for the incompetent Congress who did nothing but give seats away that should not have happened....

You know I could really say something here but I must reframe from doing so..🤭

Perhaps the masculine side is intentionally differed in its role as “ the snowMAN...”

Likewise to expound upon it more would require a more personal discussion that may lead to discussing the L**T issues neither of us want to persue, especially when realizing the role of all snowmen....🤫~~~ lololll
